i'm hoping someone would have a photo of neil patrick harris while reading for the candle light processional this past december. not quite sure what happened to my camera during the show but all i've got is one lousy picture! if someone's willing to let me "borrow", i'd greatly appreciate it!

That is a good one! About similar to what I got of Marlee Matlin in my photos that I posted. Did you try sharpening it up a little?

I've never seen the show so I'm guessing on the real colors. How's this:

I sent my original photo to your e-mail address, along with a second NPH photo from that night that I thought might look ok.

That is a good one! About similar to what I got of Marlee Matlin in my photos that I posted. Did you try sharpening it up a little?

Sadly, that one was post-sharpening. I'm not very good at sharpening, and I was afraid of overdoing it. I'll have to try again this weekend to see if I can improve it any.

The purple/blue hue in the original photo is actually quite close to what the scene looked like when the photo was taken. The lighting affects during the show are wonderful; the chorus is bathed in amazing colors that change with each song.

That being said, I was impressed with how you were able to remove the color cast from that photo. Care to share how you did it? I have a few other photos with color casts that I would love to be able to correct.

Thanks, I'll have to play around with the curves tool some more. The problem is that I haven't developed a good mental model for how it works. Maybe experimenting some more will help.
