:sunny: we are considering a breakfast at CP or O'Hana's. My DS-4 doesnt handle a lot of commotion/background noices well, at times. I have ruled out Chef Mickey's and a few others. He does love Mickey and also Pool and friends, so I think he would enjoy doing one charachter meal. Mornings seem to be our better time of the day. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. We do not have a diagnosis....but this forum seems to bring many things into focus. Thanks to all who post here, you willingness to share ideas and thoughts is very valuable.

I haven't been to 'Ohana since it switched to Stitch and Friends. That said, it was a much more pleasant and relaxing enviornment. My family's opinion might be a bit skewed (it's our favorite restaurant on property), but my 10 yo with sensory issues HATES CP because of the noise.

It may be more crowded now that it's not Mickey, Goofy and the Munks, but the restaurant itself can be very busy without being too loud (we've been to many dinners there when it's been packed). Can't say the same for CP.

Crystal Palace was really noisy. THe room itself is big with high ceilings and they do play lound music and do a character "parade" during the meal.

Maybe if you book an "off" time it will be quieter.

Never done 'Ohana so no advice there.

Between the two.... I would pick O'hana.

We went to both places in June. We love both...... but as far as a more peaceful meal and less stress on my two kids with sensory issues.... I would pick O'hana.

Buffet type meals tend to stress our family out. CP is buffet. O'hana is family style which is much easier on us.

Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions. I went with my gut feeling and kept our reservation at O'Hana's. Buffets are also very stressful for my family, so family style should be better. Looking forward to trying Ohana's :wave2: Thanks again!!!

I have never been to Ohana's, but we go to CP each year for lunch.
I agree that from what I've heard of Ohana's it is probably a better choice for you. Crystal Palace can be quite loud and 'echo-y' because of all the glass. The 'Pooh Parade' is pretty noisy and can be disruptive for some kids because of all the motion - kids join the parade and follow the Pooh characters around the restaurant.
