ETA: Bummer, I just saw that Palo brunch usually is only available on sea days :( It looks like Remy has a brunch - is that every day or also just sea days? Any other fun 'luxe' breakfast or lunch ideas for staying on ship on a port day?

Our cruise is stopping in Cozumel and Costa Maya (and Castaway of course). We want to get a second beach day out of one of those, and are thinking we'll stay on the boat for the other and try to score some spa services and/or Palo brunch. We have a 2.5 year old, so whatever excursion we do would probably just be a beach break type.

Which port would you guys pick for staying on the boat? My gut was to stay on for Costa Maya and do Playa Mia on the Cozumel day, but will the ship maybe be emptier on the Cozumel day?

Which would you do?

I agree. Costa Maya is sort of a sad, made-up port, like Falmouth, but even more lame. Cozumel has a very active port and a lot of stuff to do.

Beaches are better in Cozumel, definitely plan on a beach day there. Costa Maya has a small port area to check out along with a free swimming pool - could certainly check it out for an hour and be back on the ship.
