Covid testing sites near or in Disney

We have to be tested before flying back to NY. We need to be tested either Thursday or Friday (we fly back Saturday 3/6). We can go anytime of either day. What day and time have people found to be the quickest option.

Also, has anyone had issues with Uber/Lyft availability to/from the site, or do you recommend a car rental for the day.

• The testing site is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features a dedicated lane for individuals to help expedite the testing process for those not traveling in a larger group.
• Appointments and/or reservations are not required to receive a test. However, those wishing to be tested will need to create an account at patientportalFL.com. This may be done prior to arrival for a quicker check-in process.
• The testing site now can be accessed from Sherberth Road and Maingate Lane

I was there this past Wednesday 1/13. I arrived at 7:25am and was done at 9:00 AM. I would absolutely try to be there by 7:30 AM. The line was much longer at 9 AM when I was leaving.

Personally, I would rent a car. I think its safer (exposure wise) and gives you more control when trying to get there earlier.

We took an Uber from the Riviera to the testing site. We had no issues, driver came quickly both times, wore a mask, we had windows open a bit. Cost about $11 each way.

We’re considering going to Disney in February but wanted to figure out the testing situation since we’re from NY... anyone who has done it at the Disney site, I see it says you swab yourself, is this like the high nasal cavity one or just the lower nostril one? Trying to figure out for my kids to prepare them

Lower. And also she gave different instructions to the kids. Parents went first with the usual swab each nostril for 10 second instruction. She told kids to stick it up there but try to blow some snot on the stick. It wasn’t bad for the kids at all (for us parents swabbed kids, but older kids could probably do it themselves.

We arrived at 7:25am and were done by 8:30 on sunday

Did you just put in MainGate Testing Site for where you were going?

(Windows open whenever possible is supposed to be protocol for Lyft and Uber.)

The address is 3010 Maingate Lane Kissimmee. It is in the side of the building so when you get to the address, drive a bit further until you see a huge parking lot on the left- that is where the testing is.

We took an Uber there and back without any issues. We went during our animal kingdom day since it’s closely located to that park. Got the negative results email on phone on way back to the park.

Not too recent, but we went in November. We went Wed am and had our results Sat am (this was over Thanksgiving and so I'm not sure if that delayed our results a day)

(Initially I'd planned to do my Epcot day to avoid potential loss of park time, but NY requires the test "within" 72 hours of return and while I fly back at night on 2/17, I don't know if they would accept a test from the morning of 2/14 - better to do it 2/15 so it's completely within 72 hours.)

Yep that was our exact scenario for our flight back to PA as well. I think the ride there from AK was only 5-10 minutes tops. We registered while in line at the testing site using a QR code which was on many signs throughout the line. No insurance info required. Super easy

Just sharing info, we went this morning to the site at Maingate lane, we arrived at 7:30 am and were done by 8:30 am. We had 3 adults and 2 kids. Line def was pretty long at 8:30 when we were leaving, it was quick and easy!!

Does anybody have experience with testing on a one year old? I see 2 and up on one Maingate page/advertisement and all ages on another.

Has anyone gone at a time other than 7:30am. I should have taken this into consideration when I planned my park days. We have a reservation for Chef Mickey’s at 10:20am for our departure day ( a Thursday) and I’m wondering how bad the wait would be if we went after.
