COVID test still required for B2B?

Right?! I'm still waiting for it to be added officially to the DCL website.
Well thanks for the heads up either way! We cruise in a couple weeks and if we don’t have to worry about a false positive from a prior infection (we had Covid in December, so more than 90 days before and can’t get an exemption, but close enough to make me worried a PCR might pick it up), would definitely lessen my anxiety. On our cruise in October I basically didn’t sleep the night before! Fingers crossed.

So you get off the boat and stand in line again or do they have you go somewhere else?
We will be doing a back to back on Wish also. I might have everyone pack up anyway just
in case. lol

I wanna wear like 3 masks on the way to our cruise at the end of May. I would be so sad if we tested positive at the port. :(

I'm told the b2b people meet somewhere on the ship and leave the ship together. They bring you right to testing and security. (You don't mix with those just arriving from what I've read)

I was thinking I would sort of pack. Like all of my toiletries and stuff like that. But maybe not put away all of the hanging clothes and clothes from the drawers since we tend to unpack everything and stow the luggage. On the one hand, I would hate for someone else to have to pack up my stuff. On the other hand, the chance of it happening is so small. I've had three shots AND omicron. I'm hoping that will last me through at least our cruise in August. lol

That's right. Everyone meets somewhere on the ship (for us, it was the pub) and a cast member takes attendance and gives everyone orange B2B cards. When she gets the all clear, she escorts you to the luggage area and then through security, where someone else picks you up and takes you to testing. Then, when everyone in the B2B group is cleared to board, you're escorted together back into the terminal to go through security and check-in, then you go upstairs and wait in the B2B area right near the bridge to the ship. When it's time to board, you line up and give them your orange card and then go back onto the ship. So, you're just about the last ones off the ship and the first ones back on. They didn't do the welcome song for us the second time, though...

Also, don't forget that there's some free snacks and free coffees (even the fancy ones) at Cove Cafe when you reboard!

EDIT: For Port Canaveral, anyway. I don't know how it goes in other ports. The restaurant manager will come and talk to you at dinner one night and then you'll likely get one or more follow up calls or messages from the officer in charge of handling B2B guests on your cruise. They'll let you know what's up.

Thanks! If you don’t mind a follow-up question, around what time did you meet to leave the ship? Curious if I would have time for some laundry that morning or if you have to be off ship right after breakfast like regular disembarkation.

Ah, I actually don't remember the time. We did go to breakfast first (second seating) and we just went over to the pub after that. We were some of the last people to arrive, but then we sat around for a bit while they got most of the other guests off the ship and verified some new employees / contractors that were getting off and back on with us. It wasn't long, though. I wouldn't plan to do anything after 9am.

Ah okay, that is pretty early. Good to know.
