Covid question (sorry)

Did Delta ever come down? There were lots of experts who said it would spike up then drop off like it did in India and the UK. They were saying the drop off could happen anywhere from Sept-Dec. With all the talk of omicron, I am curious to know if delta tapered off.

Regarding the return to college or postponement, it's not just students that are of concern here. I will have to re-do the entire syllabus and method of lecture delivery if we are to go remote. It takes a fair amount of time to restructure an entire course and still have it be an effective educational experience. Right now there is a month's lead-in for redesigning the course for remote delivery, while waiting to see how long that might have to be the case. I'd rather be prepared in advance than have to do knee-jerk planning like we did for Spring 2020.
