Hi there! Maybe one of you can help me solve my problem. (I'm sure you can. You've been to way more restaurants than I have.)

Now I know that taste preference varies from person to person, but I'm trying to figure out the last ADR that I need for my trip.

Thursday, September 22nd:
--> [Eating at Universal]

Friday, September 23rd:
--> Raglan Road

Saturday, September 24th:
--> [Eating at Universal]

Sunday, September 25th:
--> Be Our Guest for QS Lunch
--> 'Ohana for TS Dinner

Monday, September 26th:
--> Whispering Canyon Cafe for TS Breakfast
--> Garden Grill for TS Dinner

Tuesday, September 27th:
--> 50's Prime Time Cafe for TS Lunch
--> San Angel Inn for TS Dinner

Wednesday, September 28th:
--> Olivia's for TS Breakfast
--> Jiko for TS Dinner

Thursday, September 29th:
--> Boma for TS Breakfast
--> Boatwright's for TS Dinner

Friday, September 30th:
--> Sanaa for TS Lunch
--> [DINNER CHOICE HERE]

Saturday, October 1st:
--> The Wave for TS Breakfast, then head to the parks.
--> Departure day, but we could also fit in a lunch. Most likely QS on our way out to the airport.

I had considered doing Le Cellier for Friday night's dinner, but since we're also partaking in the Food and Wine Festival, it seemed silly to pay $200 on what we could 'taste' for about $15. I considered another steakhouse, but since we already have Jiko, I was worried about it being 'too much'. I'm also not sure how I feel about Italian food, since we have some authentic restaurants in Pittsburgh, so I don't know how much I'd want to drop a reasonable amount of money on something I could get up here.

So is there something I'm definitely missing out on this trip? I'm taking my mom to WDW for her birthday. :) (It's the first time she'll have been to WDW without small children or cheerleaders. She'll finally get to be an adult and enjoy Disney without having to plan or worry about anything. I just want this trip to be as perfect for her as possible.)

Thank you for your help! :) And yes, we're on the free dining plan, though I had briefly contemplated paying for the Deluxe plan if only for the appetizers and extra snacks. But I feel like I'd be paying for two extra TS that I just wouldn't end up using.

[Edited to remove references to Universal Studios.]

--> Mama Della's at Universal Studios (I think? The reviews for Universal's food side of things are few and far between.)

There's a food "sticky" thread on the Universal themepark forum here.

As much as I don't want to take you away from Wave breakfast, I want you to know that Raglan Road has a Saturday and Sunday BRUNCH that allows you to peruse the normal menu and a fabulous brunch menu. It goes from something like 10am to 3pm, and entertainment starts at noon those days. (you can look on the RR website for more info, and you can make reservations through opentable if you wish; as long as you're not a party of 10+ there's no cancellation fee going through that site)

Given what you said about Italian food, I personally would rather try Mythos at IOA vs Mama Della's. I've never had either but Mythos is well known to be very tasty.

I'm sure we would love to help you plan out your Universal stay, but it would probably be better to post that question on the Universal forum here. (this "themepark" forum is actually just for WDW)

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use the quote feature. And given that it's 6:52am and I'm headed for work, I'm just going to straight reply. So I apologize for any confusion that might add. :(

When I originally wrote the post, I only meant that I was trying to figure out my Friday night dinner. :/ I just figured that, if while I was here, someone had another suggestion, I'd be open to it. But I can certainly check out that sticky again. It's just not as organized as the DisneyFoodBlog, which has basically been my guide to Disney's restaurants.

As for The Wave and Raglan Road, I've been to Raglan before and REALLY enjoyed it, so I definitely wanted to go Friday night the 23rd rather than Saturday the 1st, since we're leaving for our flight at 5:30/7pm, so I want to be running around the parks buying things and riding things and probably not at Disney Springs, since I have a ticket that day. But I really appreciate that you pointed out the brunch, since it's not something I would have considered!!!

OK, for starters, here's how to quote: go to the message you want to quote, and hit the "+quote" link on the bottom right hand corner (in blue.)

Now go to where you want to type your reply. Hit "Insert quotes" below the reply. The message you want should come up, and hit "Quote these messages."

We love Le Cellier, but it does count as 2 meals on the DDP. (But of course, you would pay cash for the cheapest of your meals, and use meal credits for the cheapest meals.

If you did upgrade to deluxe, you could add in another meal on Friday.

If you are going to be at F & WF, I would skip a TS dinner that night & nosh around the world. You could use snack credits for this and get very full very fast! And you are already way over TS credits if you are on the regular DDP.

This. There were so many great things to eat at F&W, including the filet from Le Cellier :)

No worries or confusion over the quote; heck, you used different color, which worked!

Glad I mentioned it, even if it doesn't work for this trip. :)

Their pancakes diaspora are BEYOND delicious. So when you do go, if you are a pancake person, get them (to share). :) I generally get the eggs en cocotte, but from now on there will be pancakes to share on the table as well. :)

We're going to Epcot basically every night, so we're going to make our way around the Showcase fairly quickly. And I portioned out about $1,300 over the DDP for food for the trip. :) So even though we're over, I already have the money allotted for any extra meals. (I'm an overplanner. I added an extra day to the trip, which is why we're adding another meal)

But thank you for the tip!

Thank you! I was getting confused when it popped up with the 'add this quote' thing. As for Le Cellier, I just figured since we're already trying the filet and soup (which were the things I'd wanted to try) through the F&W, it made more sense to save the money and go to another place which we wouldn't have originally chosen.

And as for the Deluxe, I considered it, but it's actually less out of pocket, than with the deluxe, since we're using out snacks exclusive for the F&W, as well as almost all of the QS credits, and we're most likely not going to make it to most of the breakfasts. (I refuse to budge on Boma.) Mom's not a big eater (she forgets), but I'm as excited about the food as I am the rides.

I will certainly have to remember that for the next trip!! Now that I'm 'an adult', I can 'wisely' use my money to make as many trips as possible...

If you are planning to eat at the Food and Wine festival on Friday after lunch on Friday then..... Dinner needs to go away. Seriously, otherwise it's WAY too much food. You need to pick one TS meal on a day you do the booths. for me I don't do at TS meal at all, but with two you need to accept you won't be doing the booths (or else that you will be wasting money at dinner!)

I know you said you are going every night, but you are going after dinner so you won't really be hungry. You really need to plan to substitute at least one meal for the festival booths especially since you say your mother is not a big eater. Otherwise you proably will wind up just looking at the booths.IMHO

(That said no matter what skip LeCellier. The $100 meal I had there last time I bothered ranks as the biggest dining rip off ever and my prior visit was not exactly outstanding either!, Learn from my costly errors LOL!)

Overall it's a LOT of food for someone who's 'not a big eater' , but...

If you are looking for a TS in EP for that Friday night, I would consider Spice Road Table. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is very good! You may also want to consider Tokyo Dining. Again, wonderful atmosphere with good food. Both Spice Road and Tokyo Dining will offer you something different than what you are experiencing on your other days.

I agree with others that if you are doing F&W just make the Friday TS go away, you are going to be plenty full. If you just must have a TS, I agree with above about Spice Road since you can do small plates there and if you have overestimated you ability to hold as much food as you are planning on eating, you can just order a few small plates and share.
