DW read that the Cove Cafe has books and magazines available to borrow or check out (I forget what term she said). Does anyone know if this is true, aND if so, can you take the materials out of the cafe?

Thanks

There are a few magazines, maybe a few books. Mostly left by previous cruisers. I don't think there would be an issue about removing them from the Café. I don't have a good picture of the ones on the Dream & Fantasy, but here's the Cove Café on the Wonder, you can see the magazine rack on the far right:

What ever is there you can use. We found up to date ' new' items magazines etc which clearly had been purchased by the ship in the departure port.

What you can't see in that shot is the locking cabinet just beyond the magazine racks. Most of the books end up in that cabinet and they may be borrowed during the cruise. Wonder and Magic have the cabinet. I've only sailed on Dream and Fantasy once each and it's been a while so I can't remember whether or not they have the cabinet as well. During the longer cruises I've sailed (TATL and Panama), there have been scheduled book exchange times listed in the Navigator as well.

Your right all four do.

I am not a reader but my wife and daughter are and used them.

I went for Newsweek and other magazines.
