Cove Bar help

They have a bar you can sit at, or there are some tables as well. You just walk in and pick a spot to sit down. I can't remember if they have a full menu, but I do remember at least some appetizers like nachos, spinach dip, etc. I believe one of the bartenders will come around and help you out with what you want if you sit at a table.

Hopefully someone has a little more info for ya. Its a nice place to take a little break and people watch!

It's a great place to grab a drink and an appetizer. I don't believe they make anything "to go". I had the Lobster Nachos (for dinner!) there last month along with a delicious fruity rum drink. Service can be a little slow, but heck if you are there to take a break, it just forces you to relax a little longer.:) All the food I have seen served looks really good.

Ya I don't believe it is grab and go. It's more of an outdoor restaraunt. It has a small menu but the food is excellent. Especially the lobster natchos.

Mmm, artichoke dip...

I too believe it's just a sit-down place. I'm sure you could get a to go box if you couldn't finish your food, but I'm not sure you can get a to go cup, LOL. Though the margarita place allows you to carry it around, so who knows?

If you have kids with you, you have to sit at the tables. If no kids, you can sit right up at the bar if you wish.

It's in DCA, next to Ariel's. Just past it actually, overlooking the lagoon, right next to where the Screamin' cars take off. And yes, the Lobster Nachos are really good, but ginormous. I ate a little more than half and I am a pretty big eater. The chips are thick, crunchy and homemade.

We ate there last month. Here are some pics of the drinks and apps.

Thanks for the sweet pictures!! Those nachos look wonderful--going to have to try them when we go in July!!:goodvibes

And if you don't like lobster (can't stand it!) they'll substitute for you. We've had both chicken and steak nachos. It's definitely a meal!

I am so excited to try them. It definitely looks a meal and a half. The drinks look yumm too. So excited to try something new. Do they take PS?

No, you just walk in. Sort of like a bar/pub. Find an open sit and claim it. You can order at the bar, or wait till the server comes to you.

Omigosh, looks scrumptious.

What is the green drink called, if you remember?

Does the artichoke dip come with breads, veggies, etc. to dip it in?

We are so eating and adult-beveraging there.

I think the green drink was called a sunken treasure. The dip came with tortilla chips. All was yummy.

I noticed looking at the menu, there is not a children's menu. I will have my DS (3) and will need something for him if at all possible.

My kids are nuts for appy-type stuff. They will love this place.

This isn't a CS restaurant serving meals - it's a lounge serving bar food - so I doubt it will have special offerings for kids. Maybe you can bring something in from another restaurant?

When DS woke from his stroller nap, he enjoyed some tortilla chips from the artichoke dip.

They are, however, right above Ariel's Grotto (they supply the drinkies for the adults downstairs), and I bet if you asked super-sweetly they could try to scrounge up something...I might lose that bet, but I also bet you could bring something in for him.

The view is a bit diminished with no water, but you have an excellent view of the Screamin' riders getting ready for take-off. Wheeeee!

Those pictures make me drool b/c I'm seeing the Pina Colava (like a colada but with raspberry so it's red like lava).

No kids menu. Cove Bar. I would suggest grabbing something for him before you go and just take it in with you. Unless your kid likes appys and bar food. Mine does so it isn't an issue.
