Courthouse Service

DF & I are getting married at Osceala Courthouse in a couple of weeks but we were just wondering how long it takes for the actual service and what you are required to say, Does anybody know roughly so we can get an indication

Dh & I got married there in Feb while we were out for our planning session. We then had our wedding in May.

When you first get there you go through the paperwork. Then your oath. After that they take you back to a room where there is flowers & candles. They then do a regular ceremony - 5 min tops and give you your certificate & a special wedding certificate/thank you for marrying there. We were there an hour tops.

You got married in the February at the courthouse and then you got married AGAIN - I thought you couldn't do that but just have a Vow Renewal if you're already married to each other?

LOL sorry Sam! My dh is military and fiances are not recognized, So in order for me to be able to move NY to TX to be with him we had to be married (which we were planning anyway). So I could be placed on his orders. Technically you could call it a vow renewal but we did it as if we weren't married. Our parents and close friends knew. There were alot of personal reasons that went into making the decision. Hope that helps a little.
