I went to the store yesterday and thought I'd share my totals. I did my shopping for 15 days/family of 7:

Total before coupons: $354.78
Total coupons savings: $36.26
Total after coupons: $318.52

I saved 10%, that's $16 more than I usually save with coupons
And I got a free full size bag of cat food, the company sent me a coupon when I signed up with their website!

I hope you don't mind me asking - you said you did your shopping for 15 days...do you plan out all of your meals before shopping? I'm wondering if this would be a better way for me to plan dinners as well.

I got two consolation envies today to help make up for the fact that my sender is actually a non sender. One from Destination Disney and not sure the DIS handle of the other one. Thanks to both of you so much...it was very thoughtful and kind!

Has anyone heard from our conductor lately? I PM'd her a few days ago and haven't heard back from her. Hope everything is okay.

I hope you don't mind me asking - you said you did your shopping for 15 days...do you plan out all of your meals before shopping? I'm wondering if this would be a better way for me to plan dinners as well.

We have some staples I always buy for breakfast and lunch (I do change it up for variety), but yes, I plan out dinners ahead of time. DH gets paid on the first and the 15th so I plan it so I only go to the store around those two days. I look at the calendar, figure how many nights we need quick meals (karate and scout nights) and just fill in the rest. We do have to run out occassionally for milk or something I've forgotten, but generally I can stay out of the store in between. We've been doing this for about 7 years and it works well for us.

that is awesome!!! I wish I could plan like that. When we were still military I used to save between $50-100 per shopping trip with my coupons. It was really nice shopping the the Commissary but now I stick to our local grocery chains.

I received another envelope today from Garydeb, second one this week. I have been sending to Minnie1928. I do not see any posts that she ever receives them. I think our train is derailing after me. I can't find any posts from Minnie1928 and Taraprather. I believe this is why Heatherfeather is not receiving anything. Conductor, let me know if I should skip these 2 people between me and Heather or if Heather PMs me I will send directly to her.

Since Heatherfeather isn't getting them, I'm not getting them either. So of course the person after me isn't either. I'm not sure what's going on. I think I've only been able to get one or two from Heatherfeather since it changed again. We had trouble with the last order too because people weren't sending them to my sender. Not sure what's going on and hoping it can be resolved because I'm getting disappointed. My previous sender was nice enough to send some extra and I've packed those in the couple of envelopes I've sent. But I know that doesn't help everyone else. I'd send an extra envie too, but if they're not going places down the road, what's the point?
