Sent out a small envie yesterday. My newspaper was "accidentally" not delivered Sunday. Of course all the boxes near my home were also out of papers. What a horrible week for this to happen. I love the P&G insert at the end of the month!
Wow! Can't believe you got it already...I mailed it yesterday evening. But I guess I did mail it from our main post office and it doesn't have far to go! Several people have given me stacks of coupons this week and my husband also brought some home from work (he's got his coworkers bringing in their inserts! ), so I've put together another envie and will mail it tomorrow.
Very proud of myself...I just completed a shopping trip and I saved $56.85. I got a free giftcard worth $10 and a store coupon worth $5. When I arrived home I found that they overcharged me for some snack bars. They should have been $1 a piece on sale, but the sale price wasn't the price I paid. So I returned to the store for my $8.16. Added altogether...that's $80.01!!!
Princessbride6205: I had a family emergency situation that happened early Monday morning, so I hadn't really been home until now. I will be mailing out your envelope tomorrow morning I promise.
You're right; it's not just the weight of the envelope that matters.
Just an FYI for all our train riders. How thick an envelope is is also really important. If your envie is 1/4" or less, it's considered a "small" envelope and is the cheapest size to mail. If your envie is between 1/4" and 3/4" it's considered a "large" envie and there's extra postage required on it. If your envie is over 3/4" it's considered a package and requires still more postage. If I have a lot of coupons to mail, I usually use a manila 5" x 7" or 6" x 8" envelope. Then I take an 8 1/2 x 11" piece of paper and try to space out the coupons in the middle of it as flat as possible. Then I told over the two sides so that it fits the size of the manila envelope. I don't usually succeed at making it only a 1/4" thick but can usually get it under 3/4" if I space out the coupons carefully.
