Coupon Clipper at Grocery Store

We just saw the weirdest thing at Walmart today!

It was super crowded today and the checkout lines were extremely hectic. While we were checking out, I happened to glance up across from me as this cashier sort of yelled jokingly at a customer, "You're supposed to do that at home!" Here, this woman was at the point where all her items were rung up, and the cashier rang up the Sunday paper and the woman pulled out the coupon section and started going through them to use right then and there.

Every cash register was open and there were at least 3-5 people in line at each one.

Have you ever seen such a thing??? I was so stunned!

And to think, some people complain about those who pull out their wallets at the last minute.

The coupon person, probably didn't think anything at all about holding up a line. She probably grabbed the coupons out of the paper and just left the house.


We went to Walmart today and I commented to my husband how busy the parking lot was, it was full.

When we went to check out, the lines were empty. We must have gotten ahead of everyone else.

I picked up the Sunday papers this morning at ShopRite near where I live. Got home, put away the groceries, and sat down to read the papers, and pull out the coupon flyers............mine had coupons ripped out of some of the pages! Really annoying..........I might not have purchased those products, but still!!

We were laughing! Although I have to admit, if I'd been behind her I wouldn't have been laughing quite so much.

Actually, she had just bought the paper and took the coupon section out after everything was rung up. It took her so long that she was done being rung up, but we still got out of the store, packed up our car and were on our way before she came out of the store.

I hate Sunday shopping! We got spoiled during football season because nobody came out to shop. We're going to have to switch to Saturday or something.
