Couples poll: What size bed do you sleep in?

King.

The problem with smaller beds is that everytime you roll over, you wake up the other person. They may not "fully" wake up (or even be aware of it), but you trigger their arousal mechanism. So you could be "asleep" the whole night, yet wake up dozens of times, just like someone with sleep apnea.

I have a full, it works well for the cat and me in my room. He has a full in his room.

I don't think all 3 of us would be very comfortable in a full if we were all in there together. :rotfl:

Queen.....I lose DH in a king:goodvibes Queen is big enough to give each of us a little room and not so much that we are sleeping alone in the same bed.

King at home. On vacation would prefer a king, queen is OK. I get zero sleep in a double/full bed with DH. I can not stand have anyone touch me while I', sleeping, so I spend all night trying to avoid body contact which means hugging the edge of the bed and laying perfectly straight..which is tough when you are used to sprawling out. Then cause I'm hugging the edge of the bed I've almost fallen out of the darn thing. If a random foot or arm brushes me I am instantly awake and trying to get away from it.

I like not being able to find DH while I'm sleeping..better than having to keep moving away from him and falling on the floor. :lmao:

King, but we prefer a queen. When our kids are older we'll switch back to our queen. We prefer to not be across the room from each other.

California King and love it. My only complaint is that I have to buy bedding off the Internet. No one carries cal king sheets in the store.

California King at home, DH is just over 6'5" so he needs the extra length.

When we travel as a family we usually get 2 queens, sometimes a king and a pullout. Last week we went with DH on a work trip, and we had the 2 queens... I ended up with DD the 2nd night because DH was kittycorner in order to not be hanging over the edge. He is there again this week (without DD and I) and he got a king room this time.

King. When we stay in a vacation home, I will only do a king, but I will compromise with a queen in hotels since there tend to be fewer choices. We have 5 kids, so just finding a suite for 7 is a challenge.

Queen
DH wants a Cali King but it doesn't fit in our room:confused3
Also have to add that for the 1st 10ish years of our marriage we just had a full and DH is 6'2":scared1:

I'm exactly the same way, even down to hugging the edge of the bed! I can't stand someone breathing on me or touching me when I sleep.

We have a king and both of us enjoy our space. We slept apart for most of our marriage because he snored like crazy. But now he has a Cpap machine, so no more snoring. It's been quite an adjustment for both of us to get used to another person in the bed, so a king gives us just enough space to feel like we're sleeping alone.

DH and I slept in a full bed for the first 33 years of our marriage. Then we got a queen. On vacations, we booked a king when we could. But if the room came with 2 fulls, we each took one.
