Couples poll: What size bed do you sleep in?

King. With the two dogs and the cat, there's barely enough room for DH as it is. On vacation we usually end up with two queens or two doubles. Even at the in-law's house at the beach we take the room with two twins!

King. :thumbsup2

But we have stayed in resorts with Kings, Queens and even Doubles. We're not that tall so we're fine with them. But at home, we love our King bed. :)

Queen...but dh works nights so I usually have it all to myself!

If we could get more than 4 inches on either side of the bed (wall on 1 side, dresser on the other) we would be in the market now for a king. There isn't more than 4 inches on either side, so we are in the market for a new queen.

Queen.

ETA: during our college years, we spent many nights in twin longs. It was awful.

Queen sized for DW, me and cat. We get lost in it, and I'm 6'2" and 250 lbs. King size is like sleeping on the floor.

Cal King for us at home, but on vacation, we're happy to get a queen and are comfortable in it. Since we have the two kids with us, we get rooms with two beds and it seems most hotels have two doubles, rather than two queens. I'm a warm sleeper and cannot stand to have any part of my body touching another person when I sleep (even my dh!), so double beds are awful, even if it's my tiny 9yo sleeping next to me in it. :rotfl:

We have finally realized many hotels have king rooms with a sleeper sofa, so now we try for those, if two doubles is the other option.

King at home

Try to find queens for vacation but have uncomfortably spent a week in a double. Sometimes we've had no choice.

We have a Cal King. We slept in our guest room queen bed for two months while our Master bathroom & bedroom were being renovated. We prefer a king while on vacation, but we manage just fine in a queen.

King. I can live with a Queen but with a full we run into each other all night long.

King size at the home. Seems we end up with doubles when we go somewhere, so sometimes I move to the other bed to get some sleep.

Full. We don't really have room for anything larger.

I actually downgraded when I got married -- had a queen all to myself when I was single.

A few years into my marriage, I had my first opportunity to sleep in a king at a hotel. Drool. Drool. Drool. What a treat!
