Couple questions- leaving in 9 days!

We are leaving on the Magic in 9 days, yay!!!

This is our 2nd cruise on the Magic I feel like I read somewhere that some guests will bring goodies as something nice to give to the staff on the ships. I want to say candy bars... something like that. Could someone confirm that for me or give me a nice idea to give to our room steward and dining staff? I just thought I'd spread a little magic to them

Second question- Can we bring bottled water on board? I know this is such a basic question, but for the life of me I cant remember!!!

1. I think the best gift for CMs in tipped positions is cash and positive comments on the cruise evaluation form. For those in non-tipped positions, like the CMs in the kid's clubs, we have taken candy and recent magazines.

2. You may carry-on bottled water. It has to be carried on, not checked.

1. We always end up tipping the CMs more, but also provide (over the years) many extras. Some of them included international calling cards, gift cards, candy and snacks like granola bars, etc. They were always thrilled with the extra goodies. Sometimes we even leave them on the bed with a note each day for our room steward instead of waiting until the end of the cruise.

2. Yes, we take bottled water every cruise. We usually have an extra collapsible duffle, buy the water on the way to the ship and take a 24-pack in the rolling duffle as a carry on.
