Couple abandon child to go on WDW ride!!!

How can they say they accidentally left the child behind? Ok it might be possible to accidentally leave your child in the stroller (not sure how!!) but im sorry wouldnt you notice at some point in the next hour that you have forgotten your child?

...I think I read the thing wrong... It was the Couple that got fined, right?

I can't believe somebody would even think of leaving a child, disgraceful behaviour which there is no excuse for :sad1:

This is another topic I am going to try and reserve my judement on.

Although I do find this to be absoloutly disgusting and feel quite angered that a poor, very young, child was left like that, I am not going to jump in saying that they shouldn't be allowed children etc etc.

Again, don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean I think what happened is ok or anything, I just don't think it is my place to say if they should or shouldn't be allowed children or if they are good or terrible parents. To be honest, like most stories in the media, all we know is a the condensed and often biased story we are told, and although, yes, whatever way it happened it shouldn't of happened, the fact is we do not know the facts surrounding it.

It is very easy for us to say "I would never ever do that", especially us without children, but I expect we have all done something we never ever thought we could ever do, and have felt so terribly about it. I am not sticking up for them, but one of there group could've said she was there. We've all lost someone in a group, it may not have been a child but we all have.

So just like the case with Madeleine's Parents I am not going to make such a severe judgement of them and am just thankful that the little girl is ok now despite the awful ordeal she went through.

We are going with a 3 year old in our party in October. In busy parks you have to watch them like a hawk or they will be chasing characters or wandering off to find sweets or icecreams.
If they are ok with leaving their child in a busy park then it makes you wander how often they are left at home.
I know you can't keep surveillance 24 hours a day 7 days a week but a little bit of common sense wouldn't go a miss !
At least this time the story ended ok.

Ok that actually made me cry for that poor child, i have a 3 year old myself and the thought of anything happening to him just is unbearable to me.:sad2:
