Counter Service at AKL

I am visiting a friend who is staying at AKL while we are at Universal for a quick trip this weekend and even though I have been to Disney more times than I can count I have never been to AKL, what is the counter service restaurant there? TIA

The counter service at Animal Kingdom Lodge is called The Mara.

Every day they have one of the fabulous soups from Boma. The Flatbreads are terrific and HUGE!

The Mara is SO good. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I love their African Stew in a bread bowl. Definitely worth a try!
