Countdown to October Trip and Food and Wine Festival!!

As far as I Know the Welcome Center is still in the old Wonders of Life pavilion. I'm thinking about booking us for the Rum & Cordials mixology also but I'll probably try for the Thursday session to save a few $.
I think they may have posted the map on the Disney Food Blog but it's a bit hard to read. I know it's definitely been posted on one of the unofficial sites. They don't like to hand out the booklet anymore like they had in previous years. We had to beg for one last year. They told us that they stopped handing them out because there were too many changes made after the booklet was printed so a lot of the info was incorrect.

I picked up a booklet just about every time I walked in the gate... Bizarre that they hid them.

Last year I had to get the guide book at the Welcome Center. The booklet they had at the entrance wasn't as detailed. I'll check out the Food Blog to see what they have.

I noticed my confirmation # for the seminar i picked showed up under my online WDW reservation...makes it easier to keep track of it.:thumbsup2

Does anybody know if you have to stop at guest services outside of epcot to pick up tickets? :confused3Sure would be nice to be able to do so at the resort along with our MNSSHP tix.

Hummmm...that's a good question. I just booked a Mixology so I'm wondering if there will be any tickets?? Or do I just handle as a normal "ressie" and bring the confirmation number. Never booked anything before so this is a first for me! :goodvibes

For the seminars you pick up tickets on the day of the event at the"welcome" desk in the Festival Center (old wonders of life). You can pick them up from opening until just prior to your seminar. ID is required.

None of the other special events have tickets. You just check in when you get to the event

They had the pamphlets/maps with the abbreviated listings (I think it's broken down weekly) at the gates but the full guide book that covers the entire festival wasn't there as it had been in previous years at least not when I went.

Hi! we are staying at BWV for part of trip Oct 16 thru 27 and then move to SSR with DS and family until Nov7. When at BWV we enter thru gateway and decide when we arrive, depending on time of day too...and how crowded...lately the weekends can be hectic most of the day..barely walk, but also lately it gets busy at night because people come over if MK is closing early for MNSSHP and to use their snack credits...so all that comes into play, we get out early enough we head to Mexico and sit and have a drink etc and watch sun set or head toward American P and have a beer and listen to music... like I said we hate plans...sometime we go out to bus and get on the first one that comes... Oh and if we really want to eat something specific we go during the day after a few rides, cause no one is there during the week day...usually walk right up, even talk to the CM at booths ...like the old days all the time... we first started going in 2000. Oh I miss that Millenium Parade...I wish they would bring that back...

that's our usual M.O. but since we'll be at Aquatica that morning i wanted to book something as a bit of a kick in the pants to get to Epcot at decent time.

OrangeCountyCommuter - TU:thumbsup2. I had hoped we'd be able to pick up tix all at one time as resort, someday they'll get the system coordinated.

This is the first year I've actually booked something. I don't like making plans especially when you have to pay up front; and then realize for one reason or another you're not going to make it!!

And thanks OrangecountyCommuyter for the info on picking up the tickets!!

Drum roll please......45 more days for me!!! party:

Now working on my grocery list that I'll send over to Amy and crew. Trying to decide if I should include my wine coolers or not in my order. Hummmm....:thumbsup2

You're kidding, right?!?! OF COURSE INCLUDE THE WINE COOLERS! :p

We'll be there in 5 short weeks! WHOOP! :cool1:

We'll see...I don't like being tied down to the room. You have to be there to accept the delivery if alcohol is involved.

I know Cee; we're almost there!!

Anyone know how long the mixology seminars last?

My MIL has decided to join us and I would like to be a the resort when she arrives but we have a mixology seminar the same time her plane lands at MCO. We will put her on ME but would like to get to the resort shortly after she arrives. We are staying at the Boardwalk.

I just need to know how long they last. Thanks!!

Kelly
