Countdown to August 2011 (tr link posted)

Looks like you`re enjoying a great start to summer vacation!

Those girls get prettier everytime you post a picture....just gorgeous!

Great pictures - they are beautiful girls!!

We leave Tuesday - so excited, but having a hard time packing between flying and taking nicer clothes for our signature dining ressies!

Thank you. OMGosh! Have a great trip!!! You'll have to post on here about it when you get home!

Good luck with packing; you'll be fine. My rule of thumb is to put out everything and take away half. (I then still sneak in stuff and always have too much.)

The treats I ended up buying were a caramel-filled chocolate cookie and some caramel corn from Germany and a Cloudberry Horn from Norway. We share the Cloudberry Horn there on the spot, but ate the chocolate cookie, which is more like a thin brownie, back in the room and then brought the rest home. It was a huge cookie, and there is still about a third of it left. We haven't opened the caramel corn yet.

I think Jill and John ended up with some chocolate chip muffins from Starring Rolls one morning. Their muffins are like three normal-sized muffins! ::yes::

We do, we do. ::yes:: Our guys roll their eyes all the time at the way Jill and I can Disney in just about anything we do or anywhere we go.

The caramel filled cookie sounds yummie! My dh loves caramel corn, so I'll add it to my list. I love the muffins at Disney for breakfast! Perfect way to spend a snack credit.

I found some great hidden Mickeys today. I will post pics.

Lovely shots of the girls! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: on your trip being one month away!

Thank you! I am soooo excited.

Gorgeous pics! Your trip is coming up soon!

Amanda

Thanks! Hooray! I am curious Amanda, when you are in Disney, do you run in the AM or PM? Or do you just take a break bc you are walking so much?

Only two days away until you leave on vacation!!!

Great pics of the girls on the dock! Love them!

Thanks! :goodvibes And Jackie, you were working too hard on school work and fried your brain! :rotfl2: Wendy leaves on Tues. I am counting down till August. :flower3:

Thank you! :goodvibes We are having a great summer. We leave for another beach trip (for a week with my family) next weekend.

I went out today to take care of some errands. I needed a pair of sunglasses since I lost a favorite pair. :sad2: I headed over to Old Navy, and of course, when a mom is free of kids, she gets to take her time and look at everything! The accessories shimmer called my name and while looking I saw hidden Mickeys! I was sooo excited. So, I had a huge decision. Which to buy?!!

I totally went with the ring. I might have to go back for a pair of the earrings, but I like the idea of sporting a hidden Mickey often, and the ring will match so many items in my closet.

So, Disney plans...

I have us mostly set on dining, I think!

The list is as follows:
Sci Fi on our arrival day
'Ohana dinner
Tusker House brunch
Garden Grill Dinner
The Wave - yeah- not sold on this- so it will certainly change.
1900 Park Fare brunch
Le Chefs dinner (early enough for Remy)

I might also book the Plaza for a night we are in MK. I haven't figured out what to change The Wave to. It is an EMH in the MK, so we will have to take a nap, so I don't want to eat far from BLT.

Here is the kicker! I don't know how much Disney news you've heard recently, but the monorail is going to stop running an hour after normal park closing. So, I am a bit annoyed. The whole excitement about BLT is the location. Hopping on the monorail at 2 am after EMH will not be happening now! BOO HOO!!!

Thank goodness that SW allows 2 bags - since we are staying 14 days I am definitely over packing - lol!! I think I am getting it under control though. I will let you know if I decide to do a Trip Report!

Enjoy your time at the beach and your Disney trip will be here before you know it!

Thanks! :goodvibes And Jackie, you were working too hard on school work and fried your brain! :rotfl2: Wendy leaves on Tues. I am counting down till August. :flower3:

LOL! You are right -- my brain is fried from schoolwork. I could have sworn I was looking at your ticker when I posted that, but I kept thinking, "How did this happen??? Why hasn't Debby been talking about packing and last-minute shopping???" :rotfl2: Now I know why -- because you still have some time.

Love the new ring! That is adorable! I can't believe Disney is doing that with the monorail! Especially because people who are staying at the three monorail resorts might not want to take the ferry back at the end of EMH. :sad2:

Love the hidden Mickeys in the jewellery - they all look so good that I would have had a hard time deciding! :rolleyes1

Think you made a good call with the ring as like you said it will go with many outfits.

I heard about that happening with the monorail - it's such a shame

great pics and hidden mickeys!!!!

I am not wild about the menu at The Wave as well! Don't fear about ADRs though. It's been busy here but the last few days I have been able to make ADRs at 50s Prime Time (2 adults, dinner) , Whispering Canyon (4 adults, dinner), and 50s again (8 adults, lunch..family this time) on the same day as the reservation. A ton of reservations have been open. When I booked the first 50s, I was able to get any reservation for dinner except Le Cellier (go figure), Teppan Edo, CRT, and Ohana but everything else was open..I was shocked!!!!!!!

Your trip is soooon!!!!

Cute backpacks! I'm a fan of She Loves Me too - those big daisies just make me happy! :lovestruc

Beautiful pics of the girls - you better frame those in matching white frames. Or maybe a stressed light wood frame. Too pretty!

I would have gone with the ring, too! What a great find!!!

I love the ring and I love the earrings....I think you should go back and get them:rolleyes: A girl can never have too many pieces of jewellery:worship:

I didn't hear that about the monorail....that is a complete bummer:sad1:

It isn't a huge problem for busy times, and it looks like Disney is reconsidering during the special events. Hopefully, it won't be too bad.

Sounds like you are totally enjoying the perks of your move! I am glad to hear that some of the popular restaurants still have open ADRs the day of. I have been trying to get a dinner at SciFi with no luck. :confused3

Great minds think alike- I am trying to decide on location to hang them!

How's your countdown coming?

For those prices, I really should go back... :rolleyes1

I have seen the ring in person and its AWSOME!!!! we spent most of her eye exam chatting about Disney instead of contacts :) I was inspired by your pre-trip report and started my own. Have a great trip and make sure Emma wears her glasses so I can tell them apart in pictures!

:welcome: Dr. Becky! I will make sure that Emma wears her glasses in order to make sure she doesn't lose any more clarity!

So, I took the girls (and myself) to the eye doctor. (I also happened to have two of their friends in order to help their moms,my friends, out.)

On the drive there, I was thinking how I really should change to a closer place. It took us 45 min to get there. I have gone to this family practice since I was a kid, though.

We had our exams, and I didn't have my glasses with me. While I was sitting in Dr. Becky's office without contacts--unable to see anything but colorful blurs-- I asked her. "I can't remember and I can't see to decide: are you a Disney freak or did you just go to Disney before?"

From there she mentioned the DIS...:rotfl2: and no longer were my eyes a priority. In all fairness, she had already checked my eyes and taken care of them...

I told her that she is now the reason I drove 45 min to the eye doctor's office.

So, welcome Dr. Becky! (It is weird to have a reader I have actually met in person. However, I really hope to meet my other Dis friends at a DIS meet someday!)

I hadn't heard this news about the monorail, what a bummer! I suppose they want everyone to just take busses now? Boooo.... I'll have to read up on that.

Love the Hidden Mickey ring!:thumbsup2

Those pictures at the shore are beautiful! Your girls are precious. :)

LOVE that ring! I totally want one!

And your dining plans look great. :thumbsup2 Your trip is getting so close now!! :woohoo:

A very quick hello from the girls and I from Ocean City, MD. What better way to wait for Disney than a trip to the beach!!! (Poor dh has to work to pass the time...)

Our first leg was at the Hilton...
