Day 2 -

It's a beautiful lobby, isn't it? The aroma coming from Boma and Jiko as you near the stairs over on the right is sooo good! And who can resist spending some time in Zawadi picking up a few unique souvenirs? :)

Cute story about the little girl finding the hidden mickey on your shirt!! That is adorable.

Love those bandaids too! I haven't seen them before, but even the box is cute lol

Your plans are looking good so far!!

I am soo sorry that I've missed so much, but the last couple weeks have been finals and I have been CRAZYYY busy! But I'm here now! :)

Congrats on your award!!!! :thumbsup2 That's such an honor! And yes, I do appreciate the crying face, but it is certainly NOT ugly! :goodvibes

Your plans for DHS sound great!

Congrats on the girls' last day of school and snagging that Ohana ADR! Ohana and Garden Grill...your girls have great taste!

I love AKL and the smells too! And the music! It's all just heavenly. :cloud9:

By the way, I love the Mickey peace sign shirt and those band-aids are too cute! :cutie:

Great plans so far!!! I haven't gotten too much done - we are going to see my family in a week, and it will be a nice looooonnnngggg ride. ;) I'll try and get some Disney "work" done then between studying.

I did buy a new cooler for the car (will fit better behind the driver seat) and DD got a set of pink headphones for watching movies in the car. :thumbsup2

So who is Remy and why are you looking for him?

My kids love Astro Orbiter (they call it "The Rocket Ride"). I'm not sure why there is so much love for it but it's a must-do for them.
I love your Mickey shirt! We have tons of those Mickey bandaids at my house (yes, from Target). Very popular for all sorts of boo-boos, real and imaginary.

Amanda

I would have loved to have been in Target with you:hug:

I love that shirt...and those bandaids....guess who'll have to make another trip to the states before August:rolleyes1 Hope you're enjoying your summer so far!!

Too funny about the little girl and your shirt!!! :lmao:

I am pretty sure that Mickey band-aids need to come home with me, too.

She was adorable. I thought the box was awesome too.

The Disney work will be a good study break! Congrats on the cooler. I know it makes travelling that much better when things fit.

So, the movie your DD can watch is Ratatouille - then you can meet Remy! :flower3:

My girls have only ridden it once, and I don't know that they remember it. I hate the load time, but the views are amazing!

Not sure if my girls will use the band-aids...One was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse this morning while eating cereal. :confused3 :rotfl: If her sister caught her, she would have really teased up a storm.

Thinking of you often right now. I am glad to give you another reason to need to return to the states!

How many other things can you buy for 2.49 that bring so much joy?! :thumbsup2

I'm getting caught up!!!!

I have the same Mickey Band-aids and just packed them last night lol.

Congrats for Ohana! We had an ADR there for Wednesday night but my parents decided with the food from Poly CL that they didn't need to go to Ohana and have a food over-load..I guess they were right haha. At least that night they served the same wings and pot stickers from Ohana so we got a little taste of what we could have had!

I love the plans so far!!!

Ah! We have seen Ratatouille, but it's been a while. Need to let DD watch it. She's back on her Nemo kick - which I'm happy about. I don't think I could watch Aristocats one... more... time... ;)

We saw the Mickey bandaids at Target. Unfortunately, DD chose the Lisa Frank bandaids instead. They come in a flashy metal container and also include stickers. Apparently, when you're 3, it's hard to compete with that. :rotfl:

I did manage to whip out a handy-dandy Disney countdown thingy for the fridge. I'll take a pic when I get a chance.

I have to hop over and get caught up with you! I went back and forth with the idea of booking Kona, but my daughters really want to go back to Ohana...

Isn't it funny how they watch the same thing over and over and over again! Poor Mickey--dumped for Lisa Frank!!

Can't wait to see your countdown calendar! My girls have been diligent in flipping ours daily.

I still need to continue with our daily touring plans, but I read a great thread the other night about cupcakes in the world. Since then, treats have been in the back of my mind.

I started running about two months ago, so I have dropped my winter weight. As a result, my diet is much better. The idea of all of the wonderful food at Disney frightens me. I am not so worried about the pounds; I am more concerned about the way I will feel... I thought a good compromise would be to pick a treat a day (maybe share it - since they are so big!)

My updates for this reason will be taking a turn away from park touring to food touring! I am also seeking ideas from each of you for what treats are the best!! Please post pictures if you have them!!!

To remind you of the fantastic treats, let me begin with some pics from Main Street Bakery...

YUM YUM YUM!! I've been hearing good things about a butterfinger cupcake at DHS that I must try some day and you have the right idea with sharing!!!!!

Mmm desserts! :cloud9: I also read that cupcake thread and can't wait for some Disney treats.

Feel the same as you in not sure how my body will cope with so many treats at once! :lmao: May have to limit myself but then again it's not every day I get to go to Disney World!

Think I'm going to enjoy spending some time at Karamelle Kuche - the cupcakes look awesome!

Mmmm that all looks so good!! I want to try the fudge! :goodvibes

Of course my all-time favorite Disney dessert is the School Bread from Norway, but anything from Boulangerie Patisserie in France is delicious! Also, you should check out Karamell Kuche in Germany, I hear it's great! :thumbsup2

Oh, I am all about food touring!!! Where is this cupcake thread you speak of? I may need to wander over that way and take a look-see.

The butterfinger one is up dh's alley, but I could pass on it. I do have a list of ones I am interested in though :rolleyes1

I look forward to making a stop in there for some caramel!

I haven't tried the school bread--I will make a note of it for this trip or next...I am salivating for cupcakes so it might need to wait until 2012. :lmao:

Enjoy- but be warned - you will want a cupcake! :upsidedow

Show me the Cupcakes

I just spent about 15 minutes scrolling through and seeing those humongous cupcakes! I'm not much on frosting, so I scrape most of it off and leave just a little for flavor. They do look very enticing, don't they? Maybe I'll get one next week at some point - but which one??? I need them to make mini-cupcakes so I can get several different ones. ::yes::

Thanks, Debby! I have now subscribed to that thread!!! It will be right at home with my subscriptions of drinks and food threads that I already have!
