Countdown to August 2011 (tr link posted)

So I am going to change the date, but not the heading, again--back to Disney in class. :lmao:

My kids read articles about cloning pets and babies. The one article mentioned "freezing of bodies for later resurrection" and I did indeed have to spoil it for my kids and tell them that Walt was not frozen. (Some really believed he was. :lmao:) We also clarified that he wasn't a communist even though he was accused. (That wasn't really on the table; the kids just wanted to tell me he was accused of it- they are learning about it in history class, and we read The Crucible and watch Clooney's Good Night and Good Luck...)

Sunday's game was another winner for the Tidal Waves...2-0. Each girl scored a goal. My friend took some great shots of the girls. I thought I'd share them.

Emma steals the ball passes it to Hannah...

Hannah gets the pass from Emma, shoots, and scores!

Frozen Walt - what are these kids learning?

How nice of you to make that whole planning journal for your friend! :goodvibes It looks great!

Your living room looks beautiful! I'd say it looks like CBR in a way...I love all the colors!

I LOVE Wegmans! My family shops there every week!

Congrats to Emma and Hannah on their soccer win!!! :woohoo:

Wow - what great soccer pics! I hope they never lose!! Whoo hoo!:cheer2:

Walt is not frozen, silly... he's off somewhere having a drink with Ted Williams. :rotfl::rotfl: All that stuff cracks me up.

Is it July yet? I could REALLY use a vacation!

Fun stuff! :goodvibes

Totally!!

You never heard that? It was a rumor when I was young (a million years ago.)

The word cryogenically was so futuristic - only Walt Disney could be frozen! :lmao:

Thank you - it really is a weird kind of fun to make a planner for someone else! You are the only one to guess on a resort...update soon to let you know.

Dh does our grocery shopping (marry a wonderful man like mine...it started when I was pregnant and couldn't stand smells because I was soooo sick. After that it became a way to get the "exact" lunch food he wanted and save money (I tend to impulse shop at the market). He doesn't like Wegman's layout - but knows it is cheaper. hehe

Awesome soccer pics! Congrats on the goals and the wins!

Amanda

Thanks!!! We'll see how Sun is. Apparently, the white team is the team to beat.

I didn't know the rumors about Ted Williams (thankfully, google exists) - but really maybe the two of them are with Elvis!

School is really getting tough but the countdown is on! It will be July soon and you will be enjoying yourself endlessly!

Okay, so my Disney "inspired" room wasn't pointing anyone in the right direction...:rotfl2: I think the newest addition might help...

I will be back tomorrow or Friday to talk about restaurants! This week is moving so stinking slowly!!!

I think the newest addition helps and I'm going to guess you were inspired by AKL!

One more day until the weekend - we had a four day week so that helped a little bit!

I can't remember another week that went slower than this one!:sad2:

I agree! The newest addition definitely makes me think of AKL! LOVE it! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thank you. I am happy with it; it is much lighter than my previous pillows and rug (which I will break out again in the fall.)

Love, love, love the rug!!! The room looks beautiful! When are you having us over?

Thanks! I'd love to have you over! Unfortunately, we don't have enough room for you to stay after the long drive unless you sleep on couches and the floor. :rolleyes1

Love your room!!!

Thanks Wendy! How are you?

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the input about Tony's. Our experience there was magical only because my girls were able to watch the Main St. Electrical Parade through the window while we ate.

I don't remember the food being anything exciting, though. Also, Jess reminded me that we have two Italian meals planned.

So, the other option would be new for us...

Hi Debby - all is well here. We had a rough winter - both DH and DS had surgery but everyone is ok now. Oh, and Ashley had her wisdom teeth out too. Just trying to get through the last few weeks of school.

We are trying Via Napoli this summer. I have heard pretty good reviews about it. Seems like they have a good variety on the menu.

Hi Debby
What are your exact dates in August? We will all be there the 13th thru the 23rd

Love that the girls got to see MSEP whilst dining at Tony's! :thumbsup2

The Via Napoli menu looks great! I have seen pics of the big pizzas you can get from this place and they look yummy! popcorn::

Happy Mother's Day! Hope you have a special day! :goodvibes

What a nice memory!

We may try a Via Napoli pizza slice from the walk-up place in July, if it is operating. I have only heard about it, and don't know if it is just seasonal, but surely Fourth of July week it will be open. I am always up for trying something new in Disney World.

Happy Mother's Day!:flower3:

I absolutely love the picture of the girls watching the parade thru the window:cloud9:

Hands down, no questions asked....Via Napoli! Jasmine and I both loved it and it was the first ADR she insisted on for August's trip! We have done Tony's every year that we have gone and honestly have been less than thrilled the last few visits! 2008 with my sis and her family we had a great server but the food was awful:confused: The year before with my BFF and her hubby the best thing on the table was the soup I had for an appetizer:sad2:

Via Napoli is a little on the loud side so not the best choice if it was for a romantic dinner, but the service and food was one of the best we had on our last trip!
