Hello!! The excitement is building so much I can't stand it! This will be our first anniversary celebration trip. We feel beyond blessed that we can even go back, thanks to a 40% off pin that I only received about 12 weeks ago!
Last year for our Disneymoon, I ended up getting sick on the plane ride to Disney and was sick in bed practically our entire trip
I was in so much pain, could not move. Poor DH! Bless him for not packing up and going back to NY, because I was insufferable!! I was inconsolable, and just so distraught that our Poly CL Disneymoon was just ticking away. Poor guy didn't know what to do with me! Luckily I was a little better by the second to last night, and we were able to do the two really special things we had planned for our wedding/DM- V+A's Chef's Table, and the Richard Petty Driving Experience for DH. Both those experiences made up for the whole time I was sick though!!! However we both knew it would be a long time until we were able to go back to the World, especially after all the wedding expenses and all. THEN 10 days after we got back from Disney, DH got laid off.
So the next 6 months until he got a job were beyond hard and we NEVER though we would be celebrating our anniversary in Disney, that's for sure! Fast forward to tax time!!!! I got a pin right at the time when we found out we would be getting quite a good return from good ol' Uncle Sam!
We decided that since we couldn't afford the Poly again, we would do WL CL and do DxDDP!!!!!!! A first for us! We have always been DDP people in the past. It was so much fun, and so exciting and romantic to plan this culinary adventure for our anniversary. So without further adieu, the cast:
Moi- Allegra, 27. Lover of food, period! I'm not picky at all, and love trying new things. I love beef, seafood, veggies and fruits...I love bread, and cheese, LOVE those! There are a few flavors I don't like. Black licorice, anise, etc. are not for me. I won't eat tripe! That's big in my mom's country of Argentina where we spend a lot of time. But I love things like sweetbreads and foie gras! YUM! I love fine dining, but I also love fast food. I have a wide range of things that make me happy.
DH-Mike, 30. He is a very adventurous eater. I have never really met anyone that is SO open to new things. For example when we started dating he had never even TRIED any fish before. Ever. Now he eats sushi (real pieces of fish sushi)! Most people that haven't ever tried seafood are a little hesitant, in my experience, to delve into the world of seafood, let alone raw hunks of fish. Mike loves ribs, filets, a great hamburger. He does not like cheddar cheese, celery, or asparagus. He also enjoys fine dining, and was the one to push for DxDDP!
On this trip we will try 3 Signature restaurants that are new to us, 2 TS that are new to us, and a character breakfast which we have NEVER done before together!!!!! We will also be arriving on our actual anniversary, and celebrating by dining at Cali Grill at the perfect time for the last night of Wishes for the summer.
We have printed out the menus, and have been looking over them to see what looks good! Everything looks great, I'll say that!! There are also some culinary surprises I have planned for DH along the way, so stay tuned for that.
Next post will be the list of our ADRs, and after that I'll write some of the menu choices we're thinking about. Thanks to anyone who has read along! I have to say it, sorry!! HAVE A MAGICAL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: The pic of us is from the second part of our Honeymoon in Costa Rica!

It was awful! I'm not gonna lie! But in the end it did work out ok.
We really have a lot of things we are doing on this trip that we have never done before (together). DH specifically asked for the character breakfast! It was adorable! We shall see how he likes it after it's all said and done
The antics definitely were not for us at 7:30 am lol, but the lunch seating worked great!
), let me assure you he is all hetero lol. Please! He is a true romantic, and has decorated the room for me before a few times. I think he will really appreciate that our room is all romantic for our one year anniversary! He loves stuff like that. And I'm sure he is a little forlorn that he can't do too much surprising because we will be together. Alas, here is the catch! We have to be out of our room by 7 pm in order for the team to come in and set up. So I have planted the idea/plan of doing Drinks around the Monorail before our dinner. I got this awesome idea from some really helpful, amazing people on Resorts.
)
We need to be dressed and on our way to our dinner ressie by 6:15 pm.
Today will start with a yummy Club Lounge breakfast (I failed to mention that in our EPCOT day). First and foremost, DH turns on the coffeemaker and starts our Illy drip coffee brewin'. An absolute must, brought from home. We are coffee snobs, we admit it
