Couldn't be happier with BWV this trip!

We stayed there last August and absolutely loved it. Room decor was great as were CM's

I agree with all the positive comments. BLT is our home resort, but we were able to get studio rooms last December and this past April. We have nothing but praise for the CM's, the rooms were clean and any requests were met in a timely matter. It is becoming our favorite resort.

We just had a BWV studio and then a 1 BR BWV. I absolutely love what they've done to the place. I don't understand what people were ragging about. There was lots of great sea shore/Atlantic City type art on the walls and nicely done. Lighted makeup mirror......whoooohooo!!!! And I love the all glass shower. so clean and bright. I like the way they repurposed a lot of the existing furnishings.

I think the staff at BWV has always been extra special. We had to cut our trip short because of a tragedy in our family and Disney was really kind and understanding about our special needs for a couple days.

Hey Granny!
Love BWV, and we have always been pleased with our stays there. This quote says it all...
this has been the kind of trip that reminds us of why we think a visit to WDW is a special thing.

As 'Deedisneydream9' said: Lighted makeup mirror......whoooohooo!!!!
I heard my (adult) daughter yell this EXACT thing the instant she walked into her studio next door to mine.

I surprised her with her own room this trip and I don't know whether she was more thrilled with having her own room, BWV in general or the new Lighted Makeup Mirror!

As I posted in a different forum, we had a split stay with Poly & BWV. My other adult daughter absolutely adored the Poly in March and was begging me to add on (own BCV) points there so I just presumed this daughter would love it as much.

Though she liked Poly a really lot, she was CRAZY about BWV. Every CM we encountered couldn't have been nicer.
We love the new decor as we've been there once before a while ago. We do love our home BCV but it's so much fun to also love other resorts. (DH's fave is BLT....thinks it's 'cozy' and loves that about it). So many to love.

The trip couldn't have been better and 'granny's' quote about reminding us what we love about WDW is so true.

That's great to hear. We will be there in a little over a month. Split stay after 3 nights in GFV.

Just want to echo OP's experience... We stayed in a one bedroom (standard view) week of April 9 and couldn't have been happier! It was our 3rd time at Boardwalk Villas and will be returning again for sure. Newly decorated rooms are wonderful, concierge wonderful and we even had a view of the Epcot fireworks at 9 pm every evening! my two children ages 7 and 2 couldn't have been more thrilled. DD LOVES the slide at the clown pool and asks when are we going back almost daily...lol

Best part is being able to walk to two theme parks with ease. We ate at dinner at Epcot almost every night. We are thinking of buying DVC points and if so will definitely be buying at BWV.

Just returned tonight from BWV after an 11 night stay....I completely agree with the positive comments. Our room was pristine and although I know some here are not happy with the new décor, I really love it. Very serene and almost spa-like in feel. I love the staff here, we truly feel special when we arrive now with some of the staff....we know them by name and they know us by name. I am glad others feel the same!
GREAT to hear!::yes:: CAN'T WAIT till October!:banana:

Just wanted to thank Granny for starting this thread. Sometimes the complaint type threads seem to become disproportionate. I am glad to know that I am not the only one who is still happy with my DVC.

Exactly my feelings, Jean, which is why I rarely post here any more. I have lots of good info and years of experience, but got tired of the DVC hating. I am happy that you and your DH continue to enjoy your DVC even though you have so many challenges healthwise......and your tips really helped me when I took my momilaw in September and SO glad I did, as her health has gone downhill and the trip would not be possible any more.

I was just there for my first time in april. I am a VWL owner, and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I have to say, I get it! Our room was new and I liked the décor. It was great to have walking access to Epcot and Hollywood studios. The clown slide, albeit a tad creepy, is really good! Having the boardwalk, with places to eat and drink, is an added bonus. BWV is now my 9 year old daughters favorite resort. I guess it makes me wonder why the point cost on the standard view is so low.

So glad to hear that. We are booked in a 1BR in August and I've heard varying things about the condition of DVC resorts (though I know BWV has just had a huge refurb so it should be clean and pretty still) and how service seems to be slipping.

I am probably jinxing my upcoming trip (6/30 - 7/8), but...... I have never had a bad stay at the Boardwalk. Never.

I own at Saratoga & a tiny share at BCV - but Boardwalk is our preferred vacation club of choice. It is home for us.

I especially love when I see the same people behind the check-in desk when we walk in the door :)

. I have never had a bad stay at the Boardwalk. Never.

Me either. And I have had many a stay there.

I went in to see the renovated suites this past week, loved them. Can't wait to stay again. I wish I owned even more points there. Always borrowing them. The only hesitation I have is how much the trees have grown over the years in front of some of the standard rooms. A couple of suites are definitely full on tree views, smiling.

Lisa...I know what you mean about the trees in front of Standard view rooms. I'd say it's about a 50/50 shot at getting that full on tree view at this point, and it is only going to become more as the trees continue to grow. We were lucky this past trip but I figure that since the point schedule is so reasonable, I can't complain about a tree outside the balcony when I get one! :)

Well that's a good thought process.:thumbsup2 So good I'm going to steal it and store it (athough a dark room makes me crazy!).

I can't believe how much they have grown. This trip I was looking out from the bus stop wondering why they don't look into moving a few of them back from the rooms. Before anyone thinks I am a tree killer, I was at a Long Island arboretum (sp?)once while they were doing a tree transplant demonstration. It was something. So it can be done.

I have thrown the football and played soccer out on that lawn. It's truly beautiful out there. I really love the standard view. Peaceful. I wouldn't mind being there even at a regular points value. I really shouldn't promote it! :rotfl2:
