I want to do a photopass share with my sister and friend.

My sister's trip goes from 7/19 to 7/25, and my friend and I got get home from our trips on 8/19.

This is the email I just sent them both-- could someone verify that this should work?? (Yeah, I know: it would have been brighter to proofread BEFORE sending the email. But, hey, it's my sister and my friend :) )

Hi guys!

Me again, doing Disney instead of housework.

I was wondering if you were interested in doing a Photopass Share.

Photopass is a system Disney uses with professional photographers working in the parks. Here's the rundown: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/aboutdpp.aspx

This is what I was thinking:

I would pre-order the CD this week, before Peggy and Jay leave on Saturday, for $99. If you're both interested, we would split the cost 3 ways. (So this $120 CD is costing each of us $33.)

Each of us gets as many photopass cards as we need to during our stays. (Normally, that would be one card each, which we re-use each time we meet up with a Photopass photographer. But it's not a problem if we have to double or triple up.)

We have 30 days after the first picture is taken to open up the account. So, sometime in the 4 weeks after Peggy gets home on 7/25 we log in and open up the account.

After Lori and I get home, we log in all the sets of numbers from all 3 vacations. From that point on, we have another 30 days to edit/ put in borders... all that stuff.

They send us the CD, and we make 3 copies, one for each family.

The only downside is that we would all have pictures of each other's trips. (Not a problem for me, since I like both you guys and your families.) The upside is that $33 for a $120 CD.

What do you think??

That sounds good to me! Very clear explanation.

Actually though, only the person with the original CD's will have to have all the photos. When I did a group, I just copied each individual person's photos to their CD for them. (It's easier to do that if each person enters all their cards at the same time, so each family's pictures are together.)

We're doing the same thing in August with our DDIL and her parents - 3 family groups.

Are you planning a photo session at a resort?

Thanks so much for taking the time to read it.

About the photo shoot: I don't think so. When my husband isn't teaching, he works part time in a photographer's studio. We have billions of pictures.

Besides, at some point my Disney Visa IS going to melt!!

And good point about the shared pictures. My sister and my friend have met, though they aren't close friends. It would be easy enough for us (translation: my husband) to go through the pictures and sort out who is who.
