How are yall today?!!!

I am quite the tired one b/c I was up SO LATE at the game!!!!!

And how good were our little football players????? Impressive, huh? I hope they can keep it up!

We did... Other than being sleep today!

I caught up on most of my Waggin' Rags orders (most!) too!

And ready to start another busy week tomorrow. Works going to be insane this week. We have our big job fair at LSU that we work so when Friday gets here I'll be rejoicing! Too bad I can't celebrate with a glass of wine, huh?! It's worth it for the little 185 beats/minute bean inside of this growing belly.

I am SO happy that so many of you have posted since I announced the news. Yall are so supportive and I couldn't ask for better DIS friends! Thank you all for your words of congrats, and Tonya2426 has a great point.... Post ANY and ALL pregger advise you can think of! Oh, and stuff I need to register for b/c I have NO CLUE! I just know how to raise a dog! And let me tell you, she's been quite the training material for a child, so I feel somewhat prepared =)

And yes, we are DEFINITELY finding out the gender of the babe. I've already got my appt scheduled for an early sonogram to predict the gender ... The standard one is at 20 wks, but if you pay $50 (b/c it's not covered by insurance), you can have one at 16 wks... And I've already booked it! October 17th- 8:45 am! SO excited! I'm such a planner, so I've got to have that!

But, I've actually already ordered the bedding! I fell in love with it online--- PLUS, it was on SALE and I got FREE SHIPPING!!!!

Yes, I know... It's kinda "wild", but I didn't want anything "babyish".... I figured this little one is living in my house, I want what I want =) And I LOVE it--- boy or girl. Love it!

Our crib is going to be white though, and the walls will not be that color! I'm thinking a light chocolate brown or something.

Anyway- as we get the nursery done, I'll have to update yall with some pics!

As far as names... Yes, boy will definitely be Hays. It's a family name (Ryan's family) and he really wants it b/c his Paw Paw died within the past two years. He wants to honor him, and I think it's a cute name anyway.

Girl- Either Emerson or Wrigley. I know they are both different, but I think they are adorable and I can't decide which one I like better yet.

OMG, love the nursery theme.....chocolates and pastels are my FAVORITE combination !!! I've got my theme picked out too......I just hope they are still making it by the time ours comes around.

Love the unique names.......I told Jeff that basic names are just TOO plain for us......we have our girl name SET, but our luck, we'll have a boy (my sister's got two boys already, so my MOM and AUNT are gunnin' for a GIRL )

Bob had the game on and Dana said, "Look for Courtney and Ryan!!!" Then they showed someone painted purple and Bob said, "Look, Dana! There she is!" Dana was not amused.

I ADORE the bedding - I so totally agree - I don't like "babyish" and they DO have to live in YOUR house. I picked a beautiful Waverly floral pattern before Dana was born - a friend made the drapes & window seat cushion & pillows - and I had a white eyelet bumper set and bed skirt. Even if she was a boy - I wanted that Waverly floral!

I think using a family name like "Hays" is very nice. As for the girls names - my vote would be for Emerson. "Wrigley" just makes me think of chewing gum.

We went shopping today for new riding boots and jodhpurs for Dana, and she found a pink tshirt with horse bits and FLEUR DE LIS! She was THRILLED! She said, "WOW! Courtney would love this!" Of course, we HAD to buy it!!

Don't work too hard at the Job Fair - have a great week!!

Unconditional love (both from you to the baby and the baby to you) takes on a whole new meaning. Bless all three of you. BTW, I had some issues with my DS when I had an early sonogram. I love the bedding and it will be really pretty with a white crib. Name wise I like Emerson too. I like a few think of chewing gum. There are so many pretty names out that I would never had thought of when I had my two. My second is Connor Ryan and that was about all the imagination I had at the time.

Congratulations Guys!!! You are going to be wonderful parents. I like your name choices. Kinda partial to Wrigley but thats just because I'm a Cubs fan. BTW How 'bout them Tigers?

They picked up quite a few points on USC in the polls. After that game though everybodys gonna be watching out for them.

Back to the baby. I hope i am not being to forward here , but doing the math, is this maybe Disneyworld baby? If so maybe you should name him/her POP or RNR. Just kidding.

Cute bedding! I saw that in a magazine and thought it was really cute. I didn't know they could find out the gender at 16 weeks! I know what I'm going to be asking my doctor as soon as I get pregnant!

As far as tips, I have a nephew that's almost 2 months old, so I can probably recall some important things for you...

Register for lots and lots of things, even expensive things, because most places give you a percentage off after the baby is born, for the things left on the registry that weren't bought (you probably already knew that from getting married though!)

Don't expect to be able to hold your baby for at least the first two months. Is this your parents first grandchild? Woooeeee that kid will be spoiled rotten!

The most important tip for the moment...Keep your DIS friends updated on your wonderful journey to becoming a mommy! AND (I know I say this alot, but I LOVE cute baby bumps) PLEASE keep us updated with pics of the growing tummy. Nothing's more precious than a pregnant mommy

Ooooh I like the bedding. I'm not into the boy/girl themes so I like the neutral colors.

As for girl name: I'll vote Emerson too. Wrigley would just be hard on a kid with all the teasing that could happen (as people have mentioned the gum).

I suppose it was traumatizing to me to always be one of 5 girls in class with my name. My daughter has a non-traditional name. My son's is traditional only because it was his late grandpa's name. Oh well, one out of two is OK. LOL

Congrats!! I know that you two will make EXCELLENT parents.

My word of advise is: Know the warning signs of POSTPARDUM DERESSION! I suffered from it after my first child so PLEASE talk to your doctor about it. If you feel something is not right see your doctor right away don't wait or be embarressed about it! I waited until our baby was 4 months old. The quicker you get help the better.

I love the bedding! There is such neat stuff out there since I had my two!

I like the name Emerson much better!

CONGRATS ON THE BABY! You will be wonderful parents. And what memories you will have with a little one in Disney.

I love the nursery bedding. It is perfect for either a boy or girl. I like Emerson and Hays. My friend's baby is named Hays.

Word of advice on pregnancy. DO NOT MISS WOMANS HOSPITAL BABY GRAND!! I think that it is in October and May. So, you need to go to the fall one. It is wonderful. They have classes on car seat safetly and installation, breastfeeding classes, how to adjust your pet to the new baby, picking a Pediatrician, and even a class for the dads. They have vendors all around the hospital to register for cool prizes. And you can take a tour of the labor and delivery unit also. And I registered for a bunch of classes through-out my pregancy at Womans for my first child. They were wonderful because I was completely clueless!! We are lucky in Baton Rouge to have such a state of the art hospital geared toward woman's issues. The staff is wonderful there.

Keep us up to date!! AND GEAUX TIGERS!!! Hopefully all the way to the Sugar Bowl National Championship Game!!

Wow, congrats to you both! That is so exciting!! I love the bedding and the names! I lean more towards Emerson for the girls name. The nursery will be so cute. Here are some of my tips:

#1, Begin using Vitamin E creme/lotion on your stomach and upper thighs every day, this will keep your skin elastic and hydrated, I did this every day and had no stretch marks (even after gaining 50lbs!!!! YIKES!)

#2 Buy the book, The Happiest Baby on the Block by Dr. Karp. It saved my life when I had a baby that wouldn't stop crying or sleep on her own.

#3 Usually when you register for baby supplies for the shower, the store will give you a guide to follow recommending what to register for. Every person is different in what they need or use and it is usually find out as you go along.

#4 Relax and get rested, it is a great adventure....but definately a tiring one. Always trust your own instincts, you will do great. I wish you the best!
