I don't post all that much in here even though I'm an avid fan, but I do know this community is great when it comes to good thoughts, and I could sure use some about now.
My husband and I were in a car accident last night - t-boned in an intersection by a driver who ran the red. Our Mini Cooper (RIP, Murray) was totaled but it saved my life. The main EMT who was with me in the ambulance said repeatedly she couldn't believe I was as in as good condition as I was (am) for what the car looked like. I haven't seen the car yet because they lifted me out on a back board (saw lots of 'up', though; faces, stars, streetlights, roofs...), but we may be able to go recover what we can from the wrecker tomorrow.
As it is, we're both in a lot of pain (and I'm pretty much terrified to get in a car...), but I know it could have been so, so much worse.
Anyway, if you have a minute to send some pixie dust this way, I'd sure appreciate it. And spare a thought for our little car who saved me from the minivan. (And please excuse any spelling mistakes; I've been waiting for the tears to start and apparently typing this turned that key.) Thanks.
