Could the Dream Turn the Grump into a Believer? Charleston Update 10/13

Wow the Golden Mickey's show looks amazing! :thumbsup2 I love The Little Mermaid Part, Cruella and Beauty and the Beast. It sure looks like it was a big production and very enjoyable.

Great family shots and :woohoo: on getting a new purse.

Wow!!! Amazing pictures from the show!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing so many of them!

The family pictures turned out great as well!!!

wonderful pictures!! I can't wait to see the Golden Mickey's!! it looks like such a wonderful show!

You have a very nice looking family there! :)

Michelle, what a great update. I love the family photos, and you got some great pictures of the Golden Mickey's performance. But where is the picture of your D&B bag?

AND Don liked the show! This is going in the right direction, I hope it keeps up!!!!

Yes, we need a picture of that bag woman!

First, I booked my airfare today for my October trip. :yay: I was looking at fares on Southwest's site and just decided to log in real quick and take a peek at Don's points. Well he had more than enough points for a free flight, so I took a few off his hands and booked my trip :rolleyes1

:woohoo: and I hope Friday was a great shopping day!!! I wish we had a Disney outlet. Or any outlets! NYC + Outlet don't go together.

You make a lovely Princess of the Dream, Michelle!

Loved reading about your tour of the Dream, the Sail Away party, the adults-only pool, and the Golden Mickeys! So much fun!

Great pictures of all of you!

Great updates! Finally got caught up! We did go to the World of Coke when we went back to Atlanta this week. It was pretty fun!

Glad you were able to check it out! Hope you had a great trip to Atlanta.

:goodvibes

Yay for booking airfare for October!

Great pictures from the show. It looks really good.

So did you get the D&B bag? I want to see it!

I did get a Dream Inaugural D&B bag, and there is some drama coming up later with that bag.......

Finally getting caught up! It's so much fun to be back on the ship!
You all take the best pictures! Such a photogenic family!
I hate it that Justin suffered because of your decision to vacation during the season. Baylor did too, but we were gone for three weeks. Basically we came home and he got in for a couple of innings and was the designated runner...:sad2:

It is fun being back on the ship!! Funny, I wrote our dinner update at the same time as this one, but forgot that I haven't posted it yet. When I read your comment I thought it was odd that you didn't chime in about our 'interesting' experience at dinner. Then I realized that I only posted about the show

Yeah, Justin was a runner during his punishment, funny the coach wanted his speed on the bags even though he wasn't letting him play.....

Wow the Golden Mickey's show looks amazing! :thumbsup2 I love The Little Mermaid Part, Cruella and Beauty and the Beast. It sure looks like it was a big production and very enjoyable.

Great family shots and :woohoo: on getting a new purse.

All of the shows were awesome, as much as we liked the Golden Mickey's it was probably our least favorite of the 3 we saw!

Wow!!! Amazing pictures from the show!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing so many of them!

The family pictures turned out great as well!!!

Thanks, I thought my pictures were alright, Jen got some really fabulous ones, but then again, she knows how to use her camera

wonderful pictures!! I can't wait to see the Golden Mickey's!! it looks like such a wonderful show!

You have a very nice looking family there! :)

All of the shows were great, you'll love them!!

Thanks :goodvibes

Michelle, what a great update. I love the family photos, and you got some great pictures of the Golden Mickey's performance. But where is the picture of your D&B bag?

You'll just have to stick around to find out if there is a picture of the D&B.......

AND Don liked the show! This is going in the right direction, I hope it keeps up!!!!

Yes, we need a picture of that bag woman!

Yes, Don did like the show! No complaints from the Grump so far :thumbsup2

As I have said there is some drama later concerning the D&B, I'll get to it eventually :rolleyes1

:woohoo: and I hope Friday was a great shopping day!!! I wish we had a Disney outlet. Or any outlets! NYC + Outlet don't go together.

I was insane!! Way too crowded, we didn't last long and didn't buy much. :sad2: Aren't there some oulets in Jersey? Seems like I remember a friend of mine going to some while she was there with her dad.

You make a lovely Princess of the Dream, Michelle!

Great pictures of all of you!

Thanks! You'd think that they would let their Princess stay on board and never leave, but for some reason they still told me to get off :confused3

Am I convincing you to take that cruise? I think you guys would love it!

So, I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself right now, trying to decide what to do. Don and I are supposed to leave on Thursday for our anniversary trip to Charleston. Currently the forcast is showing rain for the entire time we are there, 30% Friday, 40% Saturday and 60% Sunday. If we are going to cancel we have to do so by tomorrow, I don't want to cancel because I've really been looking forward to this trip, but I don't want to travel all that way and spend all that money to be stuck inside either. What to do, what to do.......

Those really aren't very big percentages. Go ahead and go! There is plenty to do inside IF it is raining the whole time.

I just checked Weather Channel, and it just says scattered and isolated thunderstorms which means they will be in and out even if they do happen.

Go and have a great time!

If you are talking about Charleston SC, I live in Savannah Ga. and it is usually evening thunder storms nothing to bad. Go and enjoy your self. It is a beautiful city.

I got behind again, but all cuaght up now. You got some fabulous show pictures. I think you are sitting exactly where I was (in the balcony, right?) I loved Cruella. She was so fantastic. That whole show was really great though.

Hey!!! those are great photos! I love seeing smiles on your whole family, including Don! He seems to have enjoyed his first day there!!! I know my boys loved just doing everything on the ship. They got a little impatient with the sail away party too, It was hot, they are young, and so I just rolled with the fact that there are certainly Disney things I just get more excited about!! They LOVED the cruise overall, and they loved all the details THEY cared about, the sports deck, the clubs, the pool, CCay, etc. JACK! LOL! So there is definitely something for everyone in the end... the sail away party was fun for me mostly, and seeing us depart was interesting for about 5 minutes for them LOL!!!! :rotfl: BUT those family photos certainly share a smiling bunch!!!! So that is important! Your show photos are AMAZING!!!!! :worship: LOVE them!!! I can't wait to see how your dinner goes!

ON the October front, YAY for the airfare!!! I have to book mine, will do so when we get back, but I am SOOO excited!! two months 1 week!! WOO HOO!!!! We got lots of fun to plan yet!!! :thumbsup2 I gotta go to the fabric store... :rolleyes1

RE the east coast and "rain" CP and the other east coasters are right, rain at 40% is usually that or less, and always scattered, usually late afternoon, when the humidity just hits the high and the rain comes to break it up! AND it won't be all night/day... just for a shower or two, etc. the weather should be alright!! And the weather channel reports are often not spot on out there! It could change in a day or two, as well...

Have a good time! :goodvibes

I couldn't agree more with the rain forecast. Any rain would probably be late afternoon and scattered. Just like Disney be prepared and watch the sky. Duck in somewhere if the clouds gets dark. Some shopping, a meal, by the time you are done so is the rain.

Go and enjoy!!!!

Great Disney show pictures!

Happy Anniversary and GO ahead with your plans! Remember that those percentages could be about the same for Orlando in October. :rolleyes1

The picture of the family taken by the ship photographer was wonderful. Everyone looks so happy & contented, loved that!

Even if it does rain it still will be warm enough to walk in the rain. That to me is so romantic. Our anniversary is next weekend & I would love to be making a short trip somewhere!

The show pictures were very nice, I especially liked the jellyfish.

I cannot believe we didn't see any of the shows on our trip three years ago (it was our vow renewal, maybe we were 'busy'). Planning on taking the time to enjoy them this time.

Great family shots :goodvibes I'm so excited to do our first family pictures on the ship!

I love the addition of Little Mermaid to Golden Mickeys - I have only seen the old version and it doesn't look like the use it on the Magic :sad2: Oh well, just another reason to cruise on the Dream ;)

I hate it that Justin suffered because of your decision to vacation during the season. Baylor did too, but we were gone for three weeks. Basically we came home and he got in for a couple of innings and was the designated runner...:sad2:

I really wish I could see your pictures right now, but I will have to come back later to comment.

I will say that I think little league baseball coaches are SO intolerant of vacations and other sports. Ughhhhhhh! And in the end what difference does it make? How many of these kids are gonna be minor or major leaguers? Vacation First! :thumbsup2 Loosen up Baseball coaches. They must all drink the same koolaid.

I knew our resident weather girl could help me out! The rain percentages have gone down since the weekend so we are definitely going - so excited!! :woohoo:

If you are talking about Charleston SC, I live in Savannah Ga. and it is usually evening thunder storms nothing to bad. Go and enjoy your self. It is a beautiful city.

Thanks! I was hoping they might just be late afternoon/early evening showers and not all day washouts - the forecast is looking up now though :yay:

I got behind again, but all cuaght up now. You got some fabulous show pictures. I think you are sitting exactly where I was (in the balcony, right?) I loved Cruella. She was so fantastic. That whole show was really great though.

Yep, we were in the balcony, I thought I could get better pictures from up there :thumbsup2

Cruella was great!

It's so true that there is something for everyone on the ship, you can chose to participate in as much or as little as you like. We all had such a fabulous time!

Yes, when you get home and get settled back into real life we have some planning to do!!

The Charleston weather is looking better so we are going for sure. Really looking forward to it, Don needs a break too, his job has been crazy lately!

I couldn't agree more with the rain forecast. Any rain would probably be late afternoon and scattered. Just like Disney be prepared and watch the sky. Duck in somewhere if the clouds gets dark. Some shopping, a meal, by the time you are done so is the rain.

Thanks for the advise, we have decided to go, I'm sure the weekend won't be a total wash out :thumbsup2

Great Disney show pictures!

Happy Anniversary and GO ahead with your plans! Remember that those percentages could be about the same for Orlando in October. :rolleyes1

I guess the rain in WDW doesn't bother me as much because I'm used to it and come prepared for it. Guess I'll just have to do the same for this weekend!

The picture of the family taken by the ship photographer was wonderful. Everyone looks so happy & contented, loved that!

It was really hard to narrow down what pictures I wanted to buy, we had lots of good ones to chose from!

Well Happy Anniversary!! What day is it? Ours is the 17th.

I cannot believe we didn't see any of the shows on our trip three years ago (it was our vow renewal, maybe we were 'busy'). Planning on taking the time to enjoy them this time.

Hmmmmm, wonder what could have been keeping you busy........ ;)

The shows were great, I'm sure you'll enjoy them!

Great family shots :goodvibes I'm so excited to do our first family pictures on the ship!

It's funny how we keep coming up with reasons to give all our money to Disney isn't it? I have a list of Disney wants a mile long!

I really wish I could see your pictures right now, but I will have to come back later to comment.

Well, Jared's little league coach was fine with it, we told him plenty far in advance and he could chose to play or not while we were gone. The problem was with Justin's high school coaches.......
