Could someone help me with rider switch, FP+ rules, and the math?

Thanks for the help. You may need to message me details on that first part regarding the magic. But on this last part, do the rider swap passes say right on them what the return window is? How does one know?

It is printed on them. They usually print a whole months at a time so if you go in the beginning of the month your pass may be valid for your entire vacation or if you go at the end of the month it may only be available for that day. Some also only do it on a weekly basis the pass will say though.

Thank you so much, but I'm not following this 100%. I mean, I see how you group them, but I'm struggling to see how it results in 8 times on 7DMR and 8 on Space and the adults all still getting to ride. I'm clearly a padawan dealing with Jedis. Can you message me how this is done?
The numbers for the 8 and 9yo are shared between them. So they get to ride 7DMT 7 times between the two of them. The same for the adult numbers. Does that make sense?

Yep. I see it now. Awesome! Now, I just gotta figure out how many big kids we have that call themselves adults! ;-)

I revised the numbers, which should have been higher than I initially calculated.

So the Disney website says only 2 people can get on the ride using the rider switch pass.

Don't the examples above have 3 going back on rider switch? What am I missing? (We're about to do trip with a friend and her one year old so just trying to figure it out.)

Disney's website is incorrect. It's any 3 riders who can ride on the Swap.

Honestly, having a too short kid or infant at WDW or DL is pretty awesome for riding rides. You can save your Kidswap passes for later too when the lines are super long. We would go in the morning and ride normal line at DL (or use your FP+ at WDW or rope drop the headliners) and collect Kidswap passes for the headliners. Do as many as you can while the crowds are low. Then we would use them at night when the crowds were high (DL the night crowds are higher, but whenever the crowds are high at WDW is when I would utilize them). You can really maximize rides this way!

I just returned on Tuesday from ten days at WDW and we had a small child and an adult who could not ride due to health issues, and the two of them just trailed along getting Child Swap passes for everything we rode.

Between the Child Swaps, the SDFPs, and the fact that the Fast Pass system broke due to the Amazon Cloud outage on the 28th and they were letting anyone on the rides willy-nilly, we rode so many rides that we had no need to hide in garbage cans or get drunk at Skipper Canteen.

Sounds like you had an awesome trip!
