I've seen some great prices on the 6D with that rebate. Subscribe to canonpricewatch and you'll see all of them. I think I saw one for $1299 after rebate in the last couple weeks.

I wouldn't bet on that, I'd bet we'll see 5D mk IV later this year, and maybe a new 6D this time next year.

Can I ask you what software you're using to get the actuation numbers from your camera(s)? I'm afraid of malware!

If you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, you can determine the number of actuations from any photo taken in RAW format. Here's a guide:

Just FYI, this doesn't work with Canon EOS, they don't put their shutter count into EXIF.

right, shutter count is apparently not in the EXIF data but in the camera
shutter count is available thru the free magic lantern or an EOS program like http://astrojargon.net/EOSInfo.aspx
