Could DVD alter Poly to have 1 & 2BR?

I think it's a very low likelihood that they would even if they could but just wondering if DVD legally could modify some of the rooms at Poly into 1 and 2 BR configurations? I am guessing this is dependent on the amount of the property that has been declared, but really not sure.

They could but why would they? In their grand plan they paid to have studios built for a reason, they are selling and people are staying there.

No change necessary.

Originally there were rumours of a phase 2 with 1 and 2 bedroom villas

Not sure if this is still planned

I think, based on unit ownership, it would HAVE TO be a phase 2 or new resort. Changing the room types that seriously would constitute a "material change" to the real estate interest. IANAL but I am pretty sure there are significant barriers to that level of material change.

Agreed, the likelihood is very low. They are selling, but is it what they expected? For all I know DVD is very happy with Poly being all studios and would do it all over the same way again if they had the chance. It's on a lower scale, but what drove the change to the studio bathroom layout at BLT? Was it a result of member feedback, slow sales, something else? Seems to me that if it were a major issue with sales then a modest number of rooms could be converted at Poly so that it could be a booking option and stop being a criticism. It would have to be at least perceived as financially beneficial for them to attempt this and that's a longshot with a lot of variables.

The all studio layout has turned a lot of buyers off according to what I read at least.

I can't see converting a small number of rooms to 1 and 2 bedrooms sorting that.

To me Poly was a poor strategic choice on Disney's part catering to families who cram 5 into a studio which is a new trend and forgetting about those who book a 2 bedroom villa for 5

They couldn't alter any declared villas without the members agreeing by voting for it. Members would have to pay for any conversions in that situation but the subsequent reallocation would be good for some but bad for those that preferred studios. It's really strange that they did just the studios and bungalows there so part of me says they have to have a plan for something else but given the slower sales, it might may never happen. To modify additional rooms is unlikely IMO, but theoretically they could and add to the current Poly project.
