Could Disney re-theme twilight zone to the new series?

Personally, I think the serling theme is fine. It’s not as if it’s based off of any specific episode

I'll be happy as long as they include homage to the Kick the Can episode. It is one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard.

I say leave it alone, but then I like the retro theming as it's much more elegant than some of the crap you see today.

Yeah, I'd think CBS reviving it might push them more towards a retheme. I love it as it is, but I wouldn't hate a Hotel Hightower retheme.

Could they? Sure.
Would they? Probably not.
After Rod none of them have been quite as successful.
Besides Disney's "episode" was not even a real episode.
It was made up by imagineers and Rod's wife Carol had a hand in selecting the voice actor and approving the script.
I think if anything Disney would create another episode or they would just change it to GOTG which as much as I love TOT have to admit that GOTG is an awesome ride!

I don’t think they would change this one to GOTG now that the coaster is going in at Epcot. It also would have to have a bit of a different storyline than the GOTG than DCA because of the 5th dimension aspect where the ride vehicle moves rather than just going up and down.

Imo, and I’m sure many feel this way, but the Disney world tower of terror is a classic that shouldn’t be changed drastically

I think you shouldn't base anything off a current Television Show. I know it could be good, but even the best of shows are flashes in the pan. Picture if someone did a ride based on the tv show "Lost" during its glory days.

Most show's popularity and relevance doesn't last for long.

I agree with what Rteetz and UMich said. If they are going to change Tot it will be a minimal change. Like a simple haunted hotel retheme not involving "Twilight Zone". There's no way they'll put Guardians in its place because they are getting a ride (that goes against the theming of Futureworld) in Epcot.

Would it matter that the new series is a CBS Series and not a network directly owned or operated by Disney( AC,ESPN etc) Seems like alot of hoops to jump through just to bring the ride theme to a new series.

Nooooo...to me this WDW ride is shoulder to shoulder with Pirates and Haunted Mansion as untouchable Disney classics.

Continually update the technology and ride mechanism, though.

P.S.- I wouldn't mind them redoing the pre-show video re-shooting the non-Rod parts to make them look more authentically retro...both with the film grade(no video) and appearance of the actors.

I think the track part of the ride could be more memorable. Nothing stands out. The only things I remember are the elaborate atmosphere in the lines and the drops.

I read that before it became "Tower of Terror" Disney was in talks with both Mel Brooks and Stephen King. I can understand why they didn't go with the Mel Brooks idea. A "Young Frankenstein" castle in Hollywood Studios would have looked out of place.

And as for King's theming, it would have freaked everyone out, even the adults. It's very unDisney (much like Alien Encounter). Heck Steven King reading the phone book would freak me out.
