Costco Ticket Question

I don't think they hand stamp anymore. When you go through the turnstiles the first time, a biometric scan of your finger is taken. Each subsequent time you enter, your scan is taken and compared to the original to make sure the same person is using the ticket. You can leave and return as often as you like to either park. All that info is stored in their computer.

:thumbsup2 No handstamps while I was there earlier this week.

WE bought our 3 day passes yesterday and only paid the 139.99 they did not add tax to our purchase. So I saved $92 over the online price of these tickets, as i bought 4 of them. and they dont expire till 2014.

Yes, I also noticed that the $139.99 is tax inclusive, plus Costco has not upped their store price following Universal's general price increase from earlier this month. Maybe Costco's deal with Universal specifies that they can keep their $139.99 pricing no matter what Universal itself does. Sweet:thumbsup2

or until their supply runs out.
or maybe not.

UT is selling tickets at the older price and will continue to do so until their present stock is out.

when they restock, tickets will be at the current sell prices now.

Just wanted to share that you can also get great hotel discounts at Costco in their travel section online. They also have a Universal package that is a hotel, tickets and rental car that is an awesome deal. You can also get a flight with it. We are not able to us it since I promised my kids we would stay at the Nick Hotel. But I will be buying my tickets at Costco.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for this thread. I didn't even know these tickets existed. We are heading to Disney over Thanksgiving, and are going to sneak in 1 or 2 days at Universal/IOA. These tickets are perfect for us. We will use 1 day, maybe 2 this year and the remaining day next May, when I am in for a conference. This saves us a ton of money over single day tickets. Bought at Costco in Maryland yesterday, $139.99 inclusive of tax, and got the 2014 expiration ones. THANK YOU!!!

Thanks so much posters for putting this up! I've been watching Costco's website and these are not on there, but I called my local warehouse and they have some!:cool1: I get discounted tickets through Shades of Green, but these are a bit cheaper and that's even before the price-hike! You guys are AWESOME!

Excellent, Everybody!!! I'll see you all there!:cool1::banana:

I'm really getting excited for our day (now maybe 2???) at Universal (HarryPotterLand)!:woohoo: I just try not to realize that means our cruise will have come and gone already....:rolleyes1:upsidedow:boat::mickeybar :sail:

(Hey DIS! We need a Harry Potter emoticon! Maybe a little wand action?):thumbsup2

I'm still really contemplating buying these....there are 7 of us and so it would be just under 1000.00 for those tickets. Ugghhh, wish they were transferable and we'd use one day this year and then sell the other days. Oh well.....decisions decisions LOL

When u take the placard to the checkout what do they give you? The ticket or something you exchange for a ticket at the park?

Note it's just a paper ticket, with a UPC code. I photocopied my tix so I have a record of the numbers.

Those flimsy little paper tix make me nervous that I will lose or destroy them by accident. Same with my Disney no-expire parkhoppers. I have so many used up Disney tix around the house, I fear I will lose my "good" tix before I ever use them. :scared1: I'm not as organized as I should be with something so $$$ valuable.:sad2:

I also photocopied mine, along with the receipt on the same page. Then, I put them in these little plastic "ID sleeves" I bought at Walmart for like $1 (not lamination, I can slide these in and out easily) to help protect them. Terrified I'll go on water ride and mess them up:rotfl:

If you buy these tickets, can you book a room only package at one of the three onsite hotels? And still get FOTL access?

Thanks In Advance!

I put mine inside luggage tags!! They fit perfect, are almost the same size as business cards that you slide in.

Yep, I copied the receipt too. I need to scan it into my computer too. Can't be too careful!:rotfl: Meanwhile, I've put 'em in ziploc baggie in my fireproof safe!:thumbsup2

I've heard that not every Costco carries these passes. I would love to know if our local store does since I've been thinking of joining anyway.
