New DVC Survey

No, mine were very different I recently condensed my four use years into two use years so I had a handful of resale transactions. The beginning of the survey acknowledged those transactions (a tad big brother creepy) and then the whole survey was asking me about my resale experience. What I look for in a resale broker … why I buy resale over direct … do I have any plans in the near future to buy direct. Do I care about the direct perks. How many times did I use each contract before I sold it. How recently did I stay on the contracts I sold. It kind of felt like a fishing expedition, so I just wrote look at the use years, there’s nothing nefarious going on here.

Ahhh very interesting! I was going to ask if you had a lot of reservations with a different lead guest to get that question, but it seems like it was a different survey. Very specific questions! I was creeped out that my survey knew how many years I had been a member. Yours is even creepier!

Omg … someone needs to stand up during the December meeting Q&A and introduce themselves as “Hi I’m so&so, and DVC makes me feel special”

I take it as a positive that they are asking these questions.

If I could change anything it would be to increase the refresh cadence & make the furniture more comfortable instead of just being extra sleeping surfaces.

increase the frequency and also increase the amount of items that are refreshed... if there can be glass doors on the tubs on Disney Cruise Ships and at Riviera that are clear and crisp, surely we can put those in other resorts when they are being rehabbed instead of shower curtains for example...

My other issue is the points are built around studios, a studio membership for a week or two is very affordable... the rest of the timeshare industry builds around 2 bedrooms... and I wish that was done a little more with Disney... most of the recent resorts require a sky high number of points for a week in a 2 bedroom...

Well, when DVC was first on sale, the minimum purchase for a new member was 230 points, which per the marketing video that’s around here somewhere, was enough for a 2BR for a week for a family vacation plus a studio for a couple’s trip at another time of year. So when it began, DVC was built around 2BR; it just didn’t stay that way.
