Costco Ticket Question

I've heard that not every Costco carries these passes. I would love to know if our local store does since I've been thinking of joining anyway.

Just call and ask for item #528887
The one in Lewisville had them, so chances are, your store does, too.

Are we sure these passes don't have to be used within 14 days, or whatever the restriction is for Disney?

Yes, we are sure. They can be used altogether or individually until 2013/2014 or whatever the year is. They are non-expiring tickets.

Anyone able to get these in the NY area? My Costco on the NYS thruway doesn't appear to carry them. I will call a few to see but I was just wondering if anyone was able to purchase them here.

I'm in central Jersey, and just bought mine this week. Paid the new price, but also noticed they expire in 2014, the old price ones were 2013.

When I bought mine last week, they were the old price (139.99) and do no expire until Dec. 31, 2014.

With the price increase is the Costco deal still a good one? If I were to buy a 3 day pass online for park to park I am seeing $150.99. So the savings I see is only $6.99 if the Costco price is $144.99 now.

Am I missing something? :confused3 I'm asking for a friend who is planning to go for several days and is lost in the planning.

On the other hand, I "think" for me the Costco deal is a great one! (correct me if I am wrong please) I am planning 1-2 days in Nov, with the main goal of seeing HP. I am planning to take DD back in 2013 and we would use what is left of the 3 day ticket, either 1 day or 2. She would be taking a friend in 2013 and we would buy her friend a ticket to match ours. So based on $144.99 for the 3 day pass, it works out to $48.33 per day.

Am I looking at this correctly? We will be staying on Disney property both trips.

TIA for the help! :thumbsup2

I think (and I know a DIS'er will correct me if I am wrong) the benefit of buying the COSTCO tickets is that you can use one day in 2011 and one in 2012 with no fear of it expiring. A 3 day pass on US website expires 14 days after first use...much like the Disney tix.
In that respect it is a great deal for myself and my kids who spend 1 or 2 days at US on each vacay...

You almost got it. ;)

The Costo ticket does have an expiration date...I think it's 2013 or 2014 but it does expire. You are correct on the Univeral tickets from the website. They expire 14 days after first use.

Do the Costco ticket prices of 144.99 include tax? My costco has them for 144.99 and I plan on going and getting them on Thursday or Friday.

If that is the case, it's a savings of 17.97 per ticket so for 4 ticket that saves us 71.88. Before the $5.00 increase per ticket, it would have saved us a few dollars short of $100.00.

$71.88 is pretty decent when your looking as a whole for the family.

Other people have reported that they include tax.

I bought some Costco tickets, and the price included tax.

Bought ours today.$144.99 no tax. Also they told me they are returnable if unused???? Go figure but nice to know in case trip is cancelled:) Made copies of the backs and receipt ...just in case.

Yes, Costco assured me they were returnable - I bought five tix, but was concerned my oldest son wouldn't be able to join us (hence the concern about return).:thumbsup2

Are the Costco tickets for adults only? I think this price may be better than the online price for the kids too (with fees and taxes added in) but wasn't sure if they could use the ticket if they had it. Thanks!
