Another booking with cosco question:

I currently have my ressies with DCL, but it looks like I will switch them to Costco to save around $300-400 per room (2). Once I switch them over do I have to book excursions through them or could I still do that through DCL? From what I understand through these boards, it is quite a hassle to keep on calling Costco; however, there is a great savings.

Also, once switched, can I still switch to someone else if I see a better deal?

Thanks again for all the information and help.

Costco will send you the information from Disney (I just got mine Monday). You then book the excursions directly through Disney. You can either fax the form to them or call them.

Many travel agents/services won't accept transfers from another travel agents/services out of courtesy. They don't have a problem taking them from DCL, but many won't take them from one another. This certainly isn't a hard and fast rule, though......

I had transferred my ressie to Costco this year for my past May cruise. Everything was fine. I booked my excursions through Disney. One time it was hard to get through to Costco travel when I was wondering why I did not get my documents. Just be aware they do not send out the documents until 2 weeks before the cruise. I felt a little nervous about that but all went well. I think the savings is worth booking with them. When we arrived Costco had a bottle of sparkling cider on ice in our room (would have preferred wine but hey its free) and a dessert platter (chocolate strawberries, etc.):)

DARWIN91:

Thanks for the information (I requested it also in another thread from you). I think I am going to call Costco on Monday and transfer the reservation. My concern is that the cruise is not until December 2004, and it is not in my best interest to transfer now. Since this is our first DCL cruise, I am very new and inexperienced at this but at the some time, am always looking for the best price.
