I keep reading on these boards how many people book multiple PS for a specific meal, with the intention of cancelling un-needed PS after getting all itinerary together. What is Disboard ettiquette for this? I personally won't hold more than (1) PS per event at a time. I wonder how many can't get a specific meal that they want, as others hold multiple PS until deciding final plans.:( :( :(

I have had more than one PS before and cancelled the one that I didn't need, BUT I made darn sure that the one I was cancelling was the one that I did not want. I would not make a hasty cancellation to find that it would have worked better the other way. I appreciate those here who hold on to their ressies and then let us know when they are releasing them. It is just a perk to this board, I feel.

Hi familyoffive :)

It's nice of you to be concerned about your PS's ~ I feel the same way - you know there are people who actually hold HOTEL rooms at different resorts for the same week until they decide what is best for their family

PS's are not such a big issue ~ they are not actually a reservation but a priority seating, many people are no shows as they change plans and forget to cancel.

If you are holding a PS for a high demand restaurant like CRT or Rose & Crown at illuminations time then release them as soon as possible, the others you can let go of when you decide what you are doing.

From a different perspective....DH and I obtained two CRT PSs for one particular morning. Discussed for a few minutes which one we wanted. He called WDW-Dine and was transferred over to group dining to cancel...first he was cut off. The second time, he was on hold for 10 minutes before deciding he would call at another time. We then decided to try and coordinate with someone with cancelling the PS.

And if someone wants to say, then why not just hang up after the first one gets through to a reservationist, then my response is we did that one time...and my DH's cell phone cut out in the middle of the PS being made! And that was after a few days of calling and striking out with getting CRT. So we usually both hang in there until one gets a PS number.
