Have a question. The passporter book states that you have to pay a 10% gratutity in the food court unless you take the food to go. I called Disney and she said she never heard of that. Do you have to pay 10% gratutity.

I have heard from people on this board that they have taken the food to go and saved the 10%.

The Passporter is correct, you pay 10% unless it's a to-go order.

Yes you have to pay the 10% unless you complain. I ended up taking my food outside to avoid the charge. I don't think having someone seat me and bring my drink, have real silverware is worth 10% of my meal.

The Pepper Market is definietely worth the 10% gratutity. They will work as much or as little as you need them. If you want more napkins or condiments or refills, they will be there to get it for you. Clean a few plates away to make room on the table, they will do that also. This has been debated many, many times. It is a love it or hate it thing. I don't have a problem with the tip because I would have left it anyway and on many occassions I still leave more. I always compare it to a chinese buffet that you may visit at home. I get my own food and the waiter/waitress brings the drinks but yet I still tip them. Some guests just aren't comfortable with being forced to pay 10%.

The food is great too!
