I was wondering if anyone found out any little tips or trick to help make your stay at CSR more magical. If you have a tip or trick, please let us know about it.

Thanks ::MickeyMo

Tip#1
Request bldg 9B. If you really want to be bold, ask for the first room as you cross the bridge from the lobby - it is a corner room and the sunset from the room is a postcard view across the water. We have stayed at CS twice - the 1st time, we asked for 9B and got the corner room by chance - when we returned last year, we specifically asked for that room and we got it. Good luck.
Tip#2
Rent a surry bike. I took the kids out a few times and they loved it. The resort is flat, so no big hills.
Have fun!

Walk around the lake at night. Stop on the opposite side and just look at El Centro across the lake. A very beautiful picture.

I have some of the pics on my website.

Order a margarita and some nachos while you lounge by the pool.

Try the water slide at least once.

If you have kids, be at the pool for the "special opening".

Rent a surrey bike and ride around the lake.

If you like mexican food, try the wet burrito from the Pepper Market and bring your appetite.

Walk through the courtyards of the casitas and check out the fountains. You have to see the lion fountain at night.

Lay on the hammocks at sunset on the white sand beach by the cabanas.

Try the hottub at night at the Dig Site. Then take a dip in the pool.

Is there an extra charge for building 9B?

They charged me an addtional $130 a week :scared:for the Cabanas waterview room.

Are all of the rooms in the Cabanas section considered waterview? We were really hoping to request either Casitas or Cabanas - it's a budget trip, so I'm not sure we could swing the extra money to pay for a waterview for 9 nights. Any info would be greatly appreciated. :)

One area I requested was 9B and I have a standard view booked. Do I need to change this? Also, I saw a different map for CSR on another thread. Did anyone ever find out if they renamed the sections?

Cabanas are considered wateview rooms but that doesn't mean you can not get one for standard view price

i have stayed in cabana 8a and did not have a water view but for our upcoming trip i requested 9E(from the new map--does anyone know if these are the maps they will be using from now on)...my question is if i receive my request would they automatically charge me if they consider this area to be only waterview or would they just put me in another location?? :smooth:

Summary of all the tips (hee hee - I am keeping a copy for myself) :rotfl2:

I hope the above helps, if someone wants to cut/paste them :cool1:

Do you have kids? If so, Mousekeeping made mine feel great. Their colorings were taped in the window for all guests to see. One day we came back from the park and the TV was on and we wondered if we left it on. OH NO! Pooh was holding the remove laying on the bed. My kids talk about this all the time. We stayed in Cabana 9B! Hope your stay is wonderful! ::MinnieMo

We're staying in CSR for the first time in April. Any other tips from CSR vets? What's the transportation like?

What's the story with the Casitas? They look the nicest but everyone suggests staying in Cabana 9b. Is there something wrong with the Casitas? And since no one recommends the Ranchos shall we assume they're miserable?

What is the "new map"? How does it differ from the so-called "old map"? Did buildings get renamed? Did they move?

Would like to know too, since were going to be staying there during Easter week!

My guess is that the Casita's are near the Main Lobby/Registration, the Cabanna's is near the pool and the Rancho's are way off by themselves. Apparently this is huge spreadout hotel and depending where you stay it could be a long walk from your room to the pool, restaurants, or lobby.

We stayed in the Casitas in June and if we ever go back to CSR (which we will) I'm going to request them again. My first choice would be Casita's 4--it's right by a pretty quiet pool and very close to the "best" bus stop. Bus Stop #2 is actually the first to be picked up, so it's great to be at that stop. You always get a seat. A couple times, by the time we got to Bus Stop#1 (the last stop to be picked up--confusing!) the bus was full.

The truth is that I was expecting the distance between buildings to be HUGE. When I got there, it was no big deal.

The Casitas are beautiful!!

There are four bus stops at Coronado Springs Resort. The bus service was excellent when I was there in December, 2003. So good, in fact, that my rental car sat in the parking lot most of the time unless I was going off property!

Don't know about the special bus to the Boardwalk. When I stayed there, you had to take a park or DTD bus, then transfer to the BW bus. I read something some time ago (early winter/late autumn?) that WDW was going to institute a resort-to-resort bus system, but haven't heard or read anything about it since.

Hey Mouseman! Check my ticker... we will be there w you. I have already request that area! OOOOOO who will get it??? Getting too excited :Pinkbounc :bounce:
