I have experienced CSR as part of a 5-member family (I'm the oldest daughter) and also as part of a young couple. I have stayed in all 3 sections.
I think that CSR is simply stunning in it's views, theming, and landscaping. I also appreciated the super-large hot tub that could accommodate many people so I never found myself without a spot. The convention goers did not bother me one bit, so what if they're wearing a name tag and a polo? The buses were darn near empty, so I found the conventions to be a huge plus.
Speaking of the buses, they are the best. Couldn't ask for faster or better transportation. I enjoy the Pepper Market-- 10% doesn't phase me in the grand scheme of things. I loved interacting with the chefs and getting my foods just how I like them, and that was worth the extra fee. I got a Greek pizza there one time that I still dream about to this day!
I can see how many people would find the size of CSR and the walking to be a draw back, but honestly, I love strolling the beautiful grounds and I feel it gives me an excuse to eat one more Mickey-head shaped ice cream cone after all the calories I burn!
I also think it's not as much walking as others make it out to be, but maybe I'm ambitious.
Never had a problem with the staff and I definitely had a privacy curtain. I think CSR is the best mod and an excellent value. It was the front-runner for our honeymoon resort until I got a deal I couldn't refuse from the Swan.
Good luck with your choice. I would recommend CSR to anyone!
