This is true for busses to and from the Parks (AK, MK, Epcot, DHS), however it is the second stop for the busses to/from DTD I believe.

Side Note:There is a tonne of information on the first page of this thread - thanks again Kat, it's been great in helping us make decisions throughout the planning process.

Thank you.

36 1/2 hrs to the plane(counting hours, isn't that pushing it). We just began packing and it can't come fast enough. We just had a couple of unusually warm days in New England and I considered it a preview to the heat that we're heading for(its cooled off again now).

We will probably arrive too early for the room to be ready. ME will take care of our regular bags but does anyone have any tips for dealing with or had problems with bell services for our carry-ons?

Almost there!

Thanks for the information. Can you tell me how long a walk it if from Casitas 4 to the Pepper Market?

1) Casitas 1 is closest to Pepper Market; Casitas 4 is closest to the first bus stop to the parks.

2) Yes. If you're eating in, you just hand your mug to your server and he/she fills it. If it's take out, you can go over to the Cafe Rix and use the machines or get coffee at the stand on the way out of Pepper Market.

I made the change to CSR today! We stayed at POFQ in August and loved being in a moderate but found the resort a snooze. When I booked our Christmas trip, we chose Caribbean Beach. I possible job change and need to economize sent us back to ASMu. When things settled down, I was going to rebook at CBR but wonder about CSR. Those room pics were amazing. So I booked in today!!! I am not going to tell the family until we turn the Garmin on in Orlando! Merry Christmas:santa:

If you don't get on here again, have a magical time. We don't use ME or Bell Services, so hopefully someone else can help you with that

It takes me about five minutes or so to walk to the Pepper Market (if I don't stop to look for Ally in the lake or to take pictures).

Welcome to our CSR thread. I can tell you that the queen beds are absolutely heavenly. I love surprises!!!!

I am very excited. I'll be spending the next little while going through the closed CSR threads with a cup of coffee and a smile:lovestruc

Hello Coronado Springs fans.
We are booked for Sep 10-22, 2011. This will be our second trip there. We loved it when we stayed there in 09. We were in Casitas 3 and had a great room with great service. We had stayed at FQ in the past, but this beats it by far. We are counting down the days already.

Flight is at 6AM so this is our last post until it's time to give the trip report.

Thanks for all the good advice.

In looking at the maps of CSR, it would appear that you have to walk through a parking lot to get to bus stops 2,3 and 4. Is this the case?

I've stayed there before but I always caught the bus at El Centro and I honestly don't remember.

Yes, you do have to walk through the parking lot. But there is rarely any traffic. Since we don't use the buses (we rent a car), I don't remember if there is a walkway or not (hopefully someone else will know the answer to that).

There is a walkway, though we usually just walked across the parking lot. Kathy is completely correct that there is very little traffic in the lots and the walk is short.

We are making a quick trip for the MVMCP and will be staying only 3 nights over Veteran's Day weekend. We would like to use this opportunity to stay at a moderate for the first time and CSR seems as though it would be the most likely choice.

We will have our car and the most important aspect location wise is a short walk to our car. We will not be using the pool or buses so we do not need to be close to those. We would like to be somewhat close to the QS dining but that is secondary to close parking as we will be coming and going quite a bit during this trip. What area should I request ?

Also, it seems as though all rooms have a fridge but I just want to verify that I do not need to request one. Thanks for your help.

First, yes, all rooms have fridges and you do not have to requst. I would personally ask for Cabanas 8A or 9A...a short walk over the bridge to the main building and close to parking (my DH and I rent a car and we were in Cabanas 8A in September and it was less than a minute walk to our car every morning).

So my question is this, we'll be there dec 18th through dec 26th (around the same time as others of you, yeah!). But anyway will people totally hate my "tacky" christmas window? I hope not... Will there be others decorating too? We actually didn't go to contemporary this time because then we really know they won't like our style :) and I really can't help myself at Xmas. Thanks for your input.

- Virginia

We are going to be there 12/17 - 12/27, and I for one hope we get to see your decorations while we are there! I may bring some of my own for our windows.

We'll be there Dec 21-26 and yes, I'll be decorating. I have made my own window cling thanks to all the creative people on the Dis. I want to buy Mickey heads string of lights. I've seen those in pictures on the Christmas resort decorating thread. Can't wait!!!:dance3::santa:

I just made our reservations for next Sept. (3rd-11th) for CSR. This will be our first time staying here... have previously stayed at POR (2008) and CBR (2010), and we are very excited to try something new!

Looking forward to the queen beds, the Dig Site, and the (hopefully) less crowded buses. When we went in Sept. this year, it seemed like the bus lines leaving the parks was hardly ever long for CSR, especially compared to CBR. The service itself was great at CBR, but many, many crowded buses. It doesn't look like there's a convention scheduled yet, but even if there is, I don't mind... just means that we're in our happy place!!!!

Has anyone been there over Labor Day weekend? If so, can you tell me what kind of crowds we might expect? Growing up, we always went @ Spring Break and the crowds were pretty thick. Since I've been taking my family, we've always gone more mid-September, and the crowds have been very sparse. Just curious to see if a holiday weekend is insane. :)

Anyone that stayed at CSR, how early was your room ready?

Anyone have the faxed number for CSR for room request? Kathy how many days out would you fax the information?
Thanks

Can't remember the fax number off hand but I know it's on the first page of this thread. As for the number of days -- it's prolly up there too.

We used to go Labor Day weekend until the last two years when we've gone a little later in September. I LOVE Labor Day weekend. The only crowds we had to deal with were the Extra Magic Hours at the MK on the Sunday night before Labor Day. Other than that, we walked on everything in 5-10 minutes (the longest wait was Soarin' at 20 minutes).

The fax number is: Fax number: (407) 939-1001

I usually fax it in around 4 - 5 days before arrival.

I've had my room ready as early as 9 a.m. It depends on how busy the resort is, etc.
