We leave in three days and I wanted to say thank you so much to everyone but especially to KatMark for this amazing thread. I have posted here and there but read every day and I am so excited to experience CSR for myself now. My PTR has sortof fallen off my to-do list here lately as May is really insane. I promise to post lots of details and do a kick-butt TR when I return. If you want to follow along on my trip I will be FB TR'ing live from my iphone as much as possible. You can friend me: Erin Sharkey Percy. Can't wait!:cool1::cool1:

See you at CSR soon! We leave on Friday and I am counting down the hours! Have a safe trip!!

So last night over dinner...... we were talking about our November trip (November 10-14) and were deciding where to stay this time. We've recently stayed at CBR, YC-CL, POFQ, CSR, Kidani, Kidani again, and SSR. Although we were kicking around the idea of the BWI or YC again.... we decided on CSR!! I'm so excited to be going back there, we had such a nice stay last November!! I'm also so glad that we both love it there so one of us isn't bitter :rotfl:

If by chance we hit the lottery or someone gives us a large sum of money for our November 2012 wedding... we'll upgrade to an Epcot resort... but I'm equally happy at CSR :cutie:

I would also like to say thank you to KATMARK , your information and enthusiasm for CSR made me want to try the resort. We just switched over from the FQ for upcoming vacation. Will let you know how we like it when we get back.

If I won the lotto, I'd switch too (just don't tell anyone). Seriously, I know hwo much you enjoyed CSR and I'm glad you are going back. :goodvibes

Thank you for the kind words. Please do let us know what you thought -- good or bad (hopefully no bad) -- it helps everyone considering the CSR.

Kathy, I have to admit that I find your devotion to CSR incredible and knowing that someone loves it so much makes me look forward to my trip even more. Thanks for all your advise on this thread, but can I ask for a little?

We've got a few months to go before our trip (October) but I was trying to figure out what the best route would be for dinner one night. We're eating at Narcoosee's at the Grand Floridian with the plan that we'll be finishing up dinner right about Wishes time. What would be the best route back after that? Taking the monorail to MK and then grabbing a bus from there, or do buses run from TTC which might make it quicker to catch one there. Please let me know what you think you would do.

Glad to hear it, because that's where we'll be in 12 days!:woohoo::banana::cool1:

Thank you. It is not hard to be devoted to something that I love...it has never let me down and the price has always been within our budget; we are cheating this trip and doing a couple of nights at AKL before we go "home." You'll find that many people have a devotion to a single resort and those who love to try something new.

I'm glad to hear that you are giving CSR a try and hope you won't be disappointed.

Personally, I would take a cab as I don't think it would cost that much. Otherwise, you'd have to take a monorail or bus to the MK and then get on a CSR bus. To me, the cab will just be much faster.

Glad to hear it, because that's where we'll be in 12 days!:woohoo::banana::cool1:

12 days???? Where did that time go?

Responses in red.

If MK closes more than an hour before your dinners end (so buses aren't running anymore), you can either take the bus to DTD and then the bus back to CSR, or take the cab.

Thanks so much snykymom!

When we get off the bus at MK, will we have to enter the park to get on the monorail or boat?

Hope you have a magical trip too (and thanks for the "friend" request on FB).

Thanks Kathy! I promise to give a full report when I return. I am glad that we can be "friends" outside of the DIS...LOL!;)

Hi,
Thanks KatMark for such a great thread. We'll be at CSR in 5 days!! It will be DH's and my second time there. Went in December before and didn't get to try the pool. Can't wait to spend a day by the pool with some great drinks!!

The bus lets you off right by the MK...no monorail or boat needed.

LOL! :lmao:I meant do you have to enter MK to get on the monorail and ferry or are they outside the gates of MK?

And about how much time does it take to get from bus stop to monorail stop/ferry? (in order to get to 1900 Park Fare)

Maybe I should cancel the airport transfer and just rent a car!:confused::confused:

Yes it is. And can't wait for your report.

You are welcome. Be sure to swing in a hammock for me (if Claire and gang aren't hogging it). You will love the pool and having a drink while lounging in a chair. :)

No, the monorail and boats are outside of the gates of the MK. Once you get off the bus, it is a short walk to the monorail.

As for the rental car, only you can decide that. We've struggled finding a cheap rental car for two weeks and finally got it down to $324 and I'm still not happy (I hope closer to the trip it goes down in price).

Hi all, hope you are all doing well. Quick Q, are cabs easy to get? Are the at all of the hotels? I have a few reservations at hotels and getting there I am ok with but for our 1900 ressie in the evening, I'm thinking when we are done eating we would go back to CSR and get ready to leave the next day, I don't want to have to take the monorail back to MK and then get on a bus back to CSR so can I easily get a cab at the hotel? Same fro CSR are there cabs on hand that if we have a ressie and the buses are running behind can I easily get one to get to a park?

TIA!!

Never had a problem getting a cab. There usually a few waiting at all the resorts and parks.

Last time we were there I seen cabs at the front of the resort but if you do not see any ask someone at the front and they will call a cab for you.

There is so much knowlege here...my trip is going to be great! We are leaving tomorrow and on our last day we have reservations at Kouzzina for breakfast...what is the best way to get there from the hotel? I was thinking a Cab but I do want to do Downtown Disney before we leave as well.

It depends on how early your reservation is. We had very early ressies our whole trip, and even though Disney transportation was running, we just found it to be easier to hop a cab. If you don't mine shelling out the extra $10 to $15 for a cab ride, it ensures that you'll be there on time!
