Well, I can tell which building I WON'T be requesting. LOL! DH would turn around and get right back on a plane to go home.

I agree! And to have those rooms be considered preferred is kind of mind boggling.

I would pay extra to have a preferred room, and was kind of hoping Cabanas 9a and 9b would be part of the preferred rooms as well.

When I book, I'll have to consider if I want to pay preferred and risk getting above the 2nd floor in building 2. Maybe I'll just pay preferred and request either Casitas 1 or 3.

Thinking about staying at CSR next trip - two questions:

Are the doors separating the bathroom area from the rest of the room a good sound barrier?

and where can I find the schedule for conventions and dates?

I'll let someone who has kids answer about the "sound barrier" as it is just DH and I that travel together now.

The convention schedule is on the first or second page of this thread. HOWEVER, it is not a "complete" list by any means (this list was comprised by research and people sending me info).

Is there any food item(s) that is a must try for CSR. For example, POFQ has the beignets...

For me, it's the gelato at Cafe' Rix.

Even had pistachio for breakfast the day I left!

I just know I'm an early riser and it'd be nice if I could be in the bathroom making a little noise and my family would not be disturbed - those doors looked like they would be better than the curtain

I am an early riser too and I shower, dry my hair, etc., and it never phases my hubby.

I'm leaving tomorrow!!!!!!!!

We're driving half-way (a whole 3 hours ) and then the rest of the way Saturday morning so we can meet the rest of our party when their ME bus arrives.

I'm almost packed, one son of two is packed, my husband is almost packed. Just have to cross the last few things off the TO DO list and load up the van.

I requested Cabanas and hope we get it!

Oh, and almost forgot to tell you guys that my mom went home from the rehab center on Tuesday, so she's home and doing well.

See you on the flip side!

Here's some that we both get what we want! Actually, I'd be happy just about anywhere. We've never been in the Casitas, so that would be nice, too!

It's been about a week and a half since we arrived home from our amazing stay at Coronado Springs and I'm already dreaming about heading back!!! This has become my resort of choice for Disney...it's got the feel of a delux resort at the price of a moderate, and the grounds are gorgeous! Not to mention the pool, which easily became our second home while we were there!

We managed to get cabanas 8A, room 8130, without even making any requests! Our room view was AMAZING! And it was almost like we had our own private hammock...it was the farthest down the beach and no one was ever using it!!

This was my boyfriends first trip in 16 years, and really the first trip he can remember, and although he loves Disney, I was a little worried that the World would be a little too much for him to handle...but he LOVED it! We are already talking about booking our next stay at Coronado Springs for May of 2012 and I cannot wait!!!!!

Thanks for your great review. Glad you guys had a great trip! I have ressies at CSR for Sept 10th-18th and also Nov 27th-Dec 4th (hope to add Nov 26th when the AP discounts come out--wasn't available with the bounceback deal we used). For both ressies I've requested first floor Cabanas 8A and want it so bad I can taste it. I've been in that building once before and loved it. Then again I like anywhere in the Cabanas.

I was at the hotel with my sister who was attending a conference and my 6 year old son. The doors provided a great sound barrier; even though we were all getting up pretty early, my sister usually had to be out the door first and my son never woke up while she was getting ready.

After staying at CSR once, like so many on this forum, I was hooked. I can't wait to go back in September with both my kids and my parents.

First, thank you to everyone for posting such great information on this forum. I find it so helpful and I love reading about everyone's experiences at CSR. I'm new to the boards, but am glad I found them!

I have a question about linked reservations. My parents and I are coming in September. They arrive on Sept. 23 and we don't check into CSR until Sept. 25. We did not request adjoinging rooms, just rooms close to each other. We have both requested Cabanas 9B, although I'd be happy in any of the cabanas. Has anyone had experience with linked reservations with different check-in dates and has it worked out? Would we be better off requesting adjoinging rooms? I thought my parents would prefer to have a little "space" rather than having the kids knock on an adjoining door constantly , but if that would help keep us in close proximity, then I'd rather request adjoining rooms.

Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences.

I posted this on the Resort Photo and Video board and then thought I might get a quicker answer here.

We will be staying at CSR in late October. I stayed here one time several years ago (1999). We stayed in the Ranchos section and I remember walking past the Cabanas buildings. It looks like there is a bridge that crosses over the lake and that you wouldn't have to walk over bhy the Cabanas. Was that always there and we just managed to not see it and took the long route time after time? Just curious.

I'm excited about going back. It is a beautiful resort - my oldest dd said she doesn't remember it (I don't know how she wouldn't since she was in high school) and my younger children have never stayed there.
