Does anyone know if the Rix Lounge is still open/popular at all?

Definitely still open! We walked through it on our CSR tour last week.

Does anyone know if the Rix Lounge is still open/popular at all?

I have never seen it really crowded, but maybe it is during bigger conventions. It is open and is a nice place to grab a drink or two.

Can someone explain how the refillable mugs work? With the new RFID chips, can you refill your mug at any time or only when the restaurant is open...what about by the dig site? Also are there more options than just soft drinks? What about milk, tea? Are all options available at both refill sites?

So with the busses and how they make their rounds, if I'm in Ranchos and want to get to Pepper Market could I get on a bus at Ranchos and get off at El Centro?

The answer is yes. However most times you would likely get there quicker walking.

Staying at CSR in January for 14 nights, 2 adults, 2 kids. We have booked business class and I was really excited about having the lounge access. However now I am second guessing spending an extra $815 (over standard) for this perk. For those who have stayed in BC is it in your opinion worth an extra $800? For those who haven't do you think it's crazy to spend that much on some food, drinks and better location?

Staying one night at CSR after our cruise. We don't want to be in Ranchos because it's so far away but feel like Casitas 4/5 or Cabanas 8 might be OK. Fairly close to the main building and close to a bus stop.

Which would you recommend? Cabanas 8 or Casitas 4/5? Looks like Cabanas 8 is also close to the pool if we had time.

We like Cabanas 8A - close to pool and bus stop.

Yes, on all except the DTD busses. They stop at El Centro 1st.

We stayed in cabanas and liked it, but I would suggest Casitas if you are planning on using the busses. Casitas is the 1st stop for the parks.

So i think its (almost) official that we're staying here!!! I was just wondering what section of the resort to stay in. I don't want to be super far from the main lobby/busses/pool, but I don't necessarily need to be RIGHT next to them either. What section of the resort should i request?

We were in Business for 12 nights with 2 adults, 2 kids mid-August - and i would DEF do it again! We had a great breakfast there every morning and the staff was awesome! they give you tips and chatted with us, nice atmosphere - plus it was SO close to our room! We would swing by in the evening for some light snacks and a few drinks - they will give you drinks "to go" too.... we stayed at Carribean three years ago with a long hike to everything, and after doing this trip, I don't think i would ever NOT choose this upgrade! both my hubby and i agreed it was a nice perk to add!

DF and I did Business Class over Valentine's Day weekend this year and we're staying there starting Thursday. I was upset when we couldn't get it for Thursday and then with magic, I called back to add on a day and they could only upgrade us to BC or had to have two separate ressies!

The CMs were very friendly last time and gave us trip advise..and we gave them some (I live here!) lol. The breakfast is a great deal for us! DF is not a big breakfast person and I'm not either but their offerings are wonderful for us and many items can be grab and go. We will have mugs bc of our DDP but we will also take drinks back to the room...especially the bottled waters.

The evening items are great too. I love the Sangria! The snacks are good as well and will give you plastic containers to take the snacks to go. If I knew we would be at parks from sun up to sun down every day I probably wouldn't pay the extra but since I live here and DF comes often (he lives in TN right now) we never force ourselves at parks unless we have other friends/family in town with us. On the flip side..it's steps from the bus stop, close to the main building and a short walk to the pool.

On the Coronado Buzz page it does list that there is turn-down service but we never got turn-down service (unless you have to request it???) At the Deluxe CL's you do get turn-down service so I'm not sure how that was added. I'm interested in finding that out though.

If there is an option for us to have business class each time we stay at Coronado, we would do it. I'm even going to check in early on Thursday and get some breakfast on my way to work!

If you don't pay for Business Class, I love Cabanas 8A. I've stayed in that building probably 5x and love it! It's right beside the parking lot, the bus station, steps from the pool (closest building to the pool I think?) and just a short walk across the bridge to the main building. My friend who used to work there said that if there is a big convention there they try to place them in Casitas first since it's closest to the convention center so I guess keep that in mind with your dates but I know a lot of people like Casitas too whether there is a convention or not!

Ouch! I don't think it is worth 800 extra. The location is great. The Sangria is good but maybe you can upgrade to a deluxe resort or get dining plan for about the same difference. How many days is that for?

It's for 14 days. We will hopefully apply the SPD discount on Tuesday but regardless the cost to upgrade to BC is $800. I looked at upgrading to WL but that would be an additional $1100 over a BC room at CSR.

$800 for 14 days is less than $60 a day. I say that's not bad at all when you break it down per night like that. But it is still $800...
