I am also wondering how do you request thins? Are all of the rooms reno'd? When I booked it said 2 queens, will I get 2 queens? ( we can't do double beds). Thanks!

So i booked a business standard for dd and i for october, I was wondering if 9b is the only building for the business suites or if 9a was also included. There is a convention happening while we are there and I'm worried about getting bumped out because of it, what would disney do in that kind of case anyways?:confused3

9B is the only Business Class building. There won't necessarily be conventioners in 9B. The convention has to pay extra for that service and most don't, that is why they offer it to the public now to make use of it.

If something happened that you got bumped they would most likely offer you a room at a Deluxe resort. They generally offer to upgrade you at no charge in cases like that.

Should I book a standard room and request a building close to the pyramid pool? Map looks like I want to be in Cabanas 8A or Ranchos 7B. Are those buildings in the standard room category? Thanks!

I prefer to be close to that pool than in the Casitas (preferred rate category) which are close to the food court.

AFAIK, all buildings are Standard except Casitas 1, 2, & 3, and Cabanas 9b (business class, or whatever they're calling it). I think the buildings right by the pool are far enough from the main building and the convention center that they will never be Preferred rooms.

I just wanted to say thanks to those of you who answered my questions over the last couple of weeks :thumbsup2.
I fly out on Saturday for our month long family holiday, although we don't check into CSR until 10th August i will let you all know about the fridge situation as we need one for medical reasons.
So thanks again and we are very excited to be staying at CSR for the first time  :cool1: :yay:.x.

Actually bus stop 1 is the last pick-up. Christmas 2010 we were in Ranchos 7B and used bus stop 4 our entire trip with no issues. And that is the busiest time of year, so you should be ok.

Thanks again!

I think I'll stick to requesting Cabanas 8a or b and if we have any trouble with the busses being full we can always just walk over to bus stop #2 in the morning if we need to. :)

This will be my first stay at CSR. I can't wait! While DH is attending a conference at the resort during the first week of September, I will be splitting my time between the pool and the parks. (Tough job for me, I know, but someone's gotta do it! :beach:)

We booked a standard room with free dining (looking forward to trying DDP for the first time, too!). As it gets closer to our trip, I'd like to call and confirm our ressie, and request a certain area of the resort. I'm trying to figure out which area would be a good "compromise" for DH and me, since he will want to be fairly close to the conference center, and I will want to be fairly close to the main pool and a bus stop. I was looking at Bldg. 4 and 5, for starters. Any thoughts on that, or other words of wisdom? Hoping that some of you CSR fans can help me out! :flower3:

Anyone? :confused3

Other than the Business Class rooms (Cabanas 9B), nothing is super close to both areas. Casitas 5 and Cabanas 9A our probably the best middle ground being about 5 mins in opposite directions to the main building and Dig Site. Cabanas 8A, 8B, or Ranchos 7B will get you really close to the pool, but a couple minutes farther to the main building. Casitas 4 will have you 3-4 mins to the conference center, but about 8 mins to the pool. Times could vary based on your walking speed. :)

I'll add that Casitas 4 has the largest and most adult of the quiet pools as well as the Fitness Center, Spa, and Salon. It is also right by the best bus stop #2. Casitas 4 and Cabanas 9B are the two best locations IMO for slightly different reasons.

We are CSR bound in October it wasn't our first choice but with FD saved us $800. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids 4 and 6. What buildings are best for the pool or playground, buses and grabbing breakfast or coffee?

Just a few more days until we go. We are staying at CSR for just the first night 8/6. Then we are joining family at AOA. I feel sad that we will only be there for one night and we won't arrive until 9 pm. We're thinking of doing some late night swimming or at least walking around the resort. My other thought is to come back in the afternoon to eat and swim and then go over to AOA to check in.

I will let you all know about the fridges. I did not ask for one at CSR since we are there for one night but it will be interesting to see if they are in the rooms!

IMO the beauty of CSR is shown off even more at night. I highly recommend an evening walk around the resort when you get there. The Pyramid at the pool looks awesome at night as well and can be seen from all over the resort. You could enjoy the largest hot tub at WDW which is nice to do at night as well. Enjoy!

saskdw-- Thanks so much for the advice! Since 9B is business class, it sounds like I should try for Casitas 4. For me, being close to a good bus stop probably outweighs close proximity to the main pool; and since we won't have the kids with us this time, I may be content to just stay by a quiet pool anyway.

Is there a certain section of Casitas 4 that would be better or worse, in your opinion?

The entire Casitas 4 building is great as far as location. Only difference would be the view out the window. If you're not paying for waterview you will probably have a parking lot view, but the bus stop will be right outside your door. A pool side room or facing the main lagoon are great if you luck out or pay for it. If you don't mind using the elevator or stairs everytime you go out the 4th floor rooms have awesome views. We spent 14 nights in Casitas 4 last trip. I loved it. I ended most nights sitting either right by the quiet pool or the tables between Casitas 3 and 4. I'd be suprised if you didn't think it was the perfect location.

Ahhh, that sounds wonderful. :cloud9: Really looking forward to staying at CSR. Thanks again for your advice! :)

Is there a map anywhere that has all the different rooms marked on it? I've seen it for some of the other resorts, but never for CSR.

The playground is very near the pool and the Ranchos section is closest to the main pool. However, it is the farthest away from the main building and restaurants. As mentioned a few posts earlier, Casitas 4 and 5 are kind of mid-way between the two and near bus-stop #2 (which is first to pick up going to the parks). Cabanas 9A and 8B are probably similar, maybe a little further to the main building, but close to bus-stop #4 (3rd to pick up). Even from Ranchos, though, we've found the walk to the main building is only about 10 minutes (that was with our then-5-yr-old walking). YMMV.

Our kids love CSR - especially the pool and slide and playground. I'm sure your kids will love it!

we are thinking of changing our dates a little bit like oct 1-12,2014 CSR business class..........with 8 park days and MNSSHP on one of our days off.
so arrival day no park and departure day no park, 1 full day off and 1 day only MNSSHP so that will be 12 days instead of 11 yippie and earlier too

Wow that's a lot of park days! I don't think I could handle that many! Good luck!!

we are doing so many days because we plan on taking breaks every afternoon. So we need to go several days to see as much as we can. I think it will be our only time going to WDW so going to do what we can.
