How wonderful, you will have a blast! The last time I was at DLR, I was a teenager..decades ago! It is on my bucket list to return someday....I can only imagine the changes.

Ahhh.... you have to go back to DLR, it is truly amazing... especially with Cars Land!! But, now that my daughter has discovered a love of water slides, I decided we need to make 1 trek all the way to Florida... We have close friends that do the World a couple times a year, so she is helping with my planning... everything is so backwards from the Land--we embrace early entry, where you all avoid the parks that have it... we always go back for afternoon naps, because it takes 10 minutes to get back to your on-site (and most off-site) hotel rooms... where I understand that is really ridiculous to attempt in the World... so much to learn that is counter intuitive... but I at least found a place to stay with A: Queen Beds, B: a coffee maker in a standard room, and C: great theming--we love Mexico, and actually spent our vacation last summer seeing multiple Mayan ruins... so this will be so fun!

I'm SO excited, we're FINALLY going back to CSR in November (me, my DH and my parents). It'll be my parents first time staying here and I'm super excited to show them the resort!

I'm wondering, I know casitas 1, 2 and 3 are designated as "preferred" location rooms. If I don't pay extra for a preferred room, can I still request a room in casitas 1, 2 or 3 or are they all only preferred rooms? Just wondering if I should request one of those or our "normal" building, casitas 4?? I'd like to be closer to El Centro to save my parents some walking but it we can't, then I'll just stick with the request for building 4. :cool1:

Also, I know it's been a few years since the rooms were refurbished, just out of curiosity, are they still in good condition, the mattresses, carpets, etc.? Just wondering... :)

The condition of our last room was fine, shouldn't be any issues there.

I doubt they would honor a room request in Casitas 1-3 without paying for it, kind of defeats the purpose of charging for preferred rooms. Casitas 4 is the best location anyway! Love that location. Also Cabanas 9A would be reasonably close to main building.

Isn't Cabanas 9A Business Class Upcharge?

Just leaving CSR, Joffres coffee was In the room!

As far as casitas 1-3 go, we paid for regular room but were upgraded to preferred :).

I've never heard of Joffres coffee, but everyone seems to be excited about it. Are they also serving this coffee at the resort's CS?

We here now in Cabanas. Bus service hasn't been good at all. This morning we waited over an hour for an Animal Kingdom bus for Early hour park. Three full buses passed us by. Several people called to complain and FINALLY an empty bus was sent. It's 8:30 and still not there. This happened for DTD one night also. People missed ADRs. Disappointing to say the least.

Good grief! I know that DTD has been an issue wherever we are staying, but waiting for the AK bus for over an hour is not good, and beyond disappointing. Especially those missed ADR's that so many people were planning their day around. I hope the rest of your day goes better....sending some pixie dust your way.pixiedust:

Thanks Capegirl. VACamm, my advice is to walk to Casita bus stop 2 to be the first one on for rope drops or any morning parks. Or request that area.

We had the same problem with AK bus on Sunday. They finally turned a Blizzard Beach bus into an AK bus and picked up First at the #1 bus stop since there were soooo many people waiting!!!

Not sure why they have so many Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach busses, it was crazy!!! They were completely empty.

I didn't ask, but the coffee in Pepper Market was good so maybe they are?

Personally, I'm kind if over the bus service. Even though CSR has some of the best I've encountered, I'm still going to drive! The worst was ASM!

Subscribing! First CSR stay this December and I'm excited. People do seem to love or hate this resort from the reviews and comments I've read, but I'm looking forward to it!
