Now that I'm thinking about it a little harder, my guess is that the slide would only be running while there is a lifeguard on duty.

.

With the new WDW policy that started in November the main pools have lifeguards on duty the entire time and lock up the pool area after close. The pool hours are now 10am-11pm.

Looks like you're going the first week of December. I LOVE that week! Are you going to be there for the parade taping? We went one time specifically so we could see the taping. We had a great time that week!!

Be sure to plan plenty of resort-visiting so you can see all the fabulous decorations! (Boardwalk, YC, GF, etc.)

.

I definitely plan on checking out the other resorts- one of the main reasons we picked this week was to see all the Christmas decorations. It's my favorite time of the year!

Perhaps poor planning on my part, but I actually didn't even look to see if they are filming the parade that week... Oh no!

Well, if you're not "into" watching the taping of the parade that works in your favor. Some of my party wanted to watch, some didn't. Those that didn't (me and kids) went on nearly empty rides! I found it a great day to be there!!

.

Thanks for the pool photos! They made my heart beat a little faster. Our 4th trip to CSR is next weekend.

I remember the slide being open quite late on prior visits. If the lifeguards are there until 11, probably 11.

We had another huge winter storm yesterday. 50 degrees tomorrow. Spring in Ohio!

Glad everyone's enjoying the pool pics. Love that pool. sigh Sure wish I was there and not here in this horrific 24 degrees we have today. .

More awesome photos. Hot tub looks lovely, definitely showing that to my partner!

I think I'd definitely take no lines at the rides over watching the parade, excellent tip!

Also, it's 20 degrees and snowing here! I feel your pain.

I lived in Boston for 5 years ... I know just how cold being near the water makes it there. Ouch.

We missed out on the snow here on this storm - thankfully.

Can you see illuminations at CSR? I read on another thread you could. Wondering where to go at CSR to see it.

DH and I are booked in Business Level for our trip in May and I'd like to clarify a few things.

1. The beer, wine and sangria is free in the lounge.

2. Is there wine choices or is it that craptastic white wine and red wine blend that we ran into on our last trip. I am hoping for a nice Pinot Grigio.

Also can anyone confirm that I can get a Pinot Grigio at the pool bar and not just the white wine blend stuff.

Thank you!

Everything in the lounge is free. I enjoyed the red sangria. I can't wait for some next month. I'm not sure what kind of white whine is offered. In the CSR photo thread someone posted a picture of the wine rack.

I'm wondering if bottled waters have returned to the lounge. I also hope JC and Ainsley as still there.

Like I posted, died in the wool new Englander. when we moved to the rocky mountains 5 years ago, I laughed about 4-6 inches folks complained about. (snow, get yer mind outa the gutter)
and the NOT so wicked cold-more laughing.

some days I miss the eastern area and seasons. More so on the food.

when I "hear" people in NY/PA/New England accents, I stop and talk. takes away a bit of the homesickness.

I am really excited for this Sept stay now that I saw the main pool. If you are going Sept 23 , and you encounter a yankee broad jumping in and emptying the pool out, stop and say hello. :goodvibes

I just have to say how jealous I am of everyone who has a trip planed and is staying @ CSR this year!

We have had the pleasure to stay @ CSR our last 2 trips to The World and they have been super enjoyable! The pool is the best we have experienced (DH and I even love the Jaguar slide!), the CMs have all been very friendly and helpful, and the bus service has been wonderful both trips.

We are one of those oddball families that actually request the Ranchos section (Ranchos 7B building specifically and have been lucky enough to get it both times), as we don't rely much on El Centro. And if we do need something from there, we don't mind the walk... the property is as beautiful at night as it is during the day. We much prefer to be close to the main pool and a bus stop.

We won't be going back to The World until September 2015 (going to attempt a DCL trip in October this year), but we can't wait to head back to our home away from home.

Enjoy CSR everyone!:thumbsup2

We are also one of the oddball families who requests Ranchos. We've stayed in all 3 sections, but definitely prefer Ranchos. We had 7A on our most recent trip and it was perfect for us. In May we have 2 rooms, and are again requesting Ranchos. Fingers crossed...

We will be at CSR the last week of April and into May. I requested Cabanas, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't request Casitas, now. Travel party consists of DH, DS (3), and myself. We will be at the parks primarily and may or may not visit the pool. We would like to be fairly close to main building or Cafe' Rix for refillable mug convenience. My main concern is using the last bus stop if we do in fact get Cabanas. Are buses usually full by the 4th stop or standing room only? I would feel more comfortable with DS having a seat. While I know room requests can't be guaranteed, it's always worth a shot in my opinion. Thanks!

You can see the very high ones. Best spot is at the end of the lagoon by Casitas 4. Best view is from the 4th floor of Casitas 4. We had a room there one of our trips and watched them a few times.

Will be staying at CSR tomorrow.Does anyone know what the prices are for the hair salon? Also how would we get to Yaht club resort for dinner? What about the boardwalk area. Its just my husband and I .He does use a scooter for the parks but can manage a lesser walk ,with resting. I booked a dinner at YC.I always wanted to see boardwalk area. Thanks

I'm seeing chatter about what the best hotel room area to stay at. For a couple, which should I request? Being near a bus stop would be nice. Obviously we are expecting children at all of them, but is there one that is typically quieter than the others?

I can't answer your question around the hair salon, but as far as getting to the Yacht Club, your best bet would probably be to take a bus to Hollywood Studios, and then either take a bus to the Yacht Club, or you could take the boat that runs between HWS and EPCOT (has a stop @ the Swan and Dolphin, Yacht Club, Boardwalk in between the 2 parks, if I remember correctly). This same plan would obviously get you to the Boardwalk.

You could take a bus to EPCOT, but then you would have to travel through the park to the entrance @ the back at International Gateway, and then walk/ride the boat to the Yacht Club/Boardwalk area. It would be much more walking this route.

Enjoy your time!
