I'm reading it is a pod type - not k cup, and I'm reading some other hotels now have them. On the recently posted YouTube clip from AllEars of the new princess rooms at POR, you can see it - a quick glance, but they are updated.

I'm wondering if CSR is updated yet?

Thanks for the info. I am bummed!! I really liked bringing good quality coffee to have every morning.

They are updated. We were there 3/4 -3/11 and the new coffee makers were in the rooms. However, the coffee they supply is terrible.

Thank you! ...though, from the other PP, it sounds like it isn't property wide yet.

I've read other posters comment to use bottled water instead of tap, and this will remarkably improve the taste. I can see how that could be true.

.....my countdown to CSR is agonizing! I'm so excited to stay here for the first time!!!

Just noticed I will be at CSR in 75 days! I have never even visited, there, but of course saw the entrance on my way to Blizzard Beach. I am so excited!

I do have one question, though. Is there any place that I can see a map of the actual locations of everything in El Centro (ie, Cafe Rix, Pepper Market, the registration desk, etc?) Thanks!

Does anyone know if there is anywhere I can refill my resort mug with Coke Zero? I have a bit of an addiction and really can't get moving in the morning without it. Diet Coke just isn't the same.

I know WDW is a Coke facility. I'm trying to find out too if Coke Zero is available anywhere there and at CSR.

Might make the difference between us getting the mugs or not.

quick question since I can't remember from our 2009 trip....

are there towels available at the main pool?

I remember towel return bins but cannot remember if we brought our towels from the room or got them at the pool!

Yes, there are plenty of towels available at the main pool! :thumbsup2

Hi, I have a few questions if anybody has the answers I would be grateful :)
1) On an AK morning we plan to go to BB for the afternoon. I have heard that sometimes the bus from CSR goes to both these stops. Does the bus collecting at AK stop at BB on the way back to CSR? I am thinking if we brought our gear for BB to AK and store it in a locker, it would save us coming back to CSR and having to wait for a bus to go to BB.
2) There will be a couple of times we will need a taxi, I understand you can ask for one at the front desk. We will need one about 6am one morning to meet for a day trip and don't fancy the idea (especially if we are in Ranchos) of trekking to El Centro. Can we call a taxi or order one the previous day to collect us close to our room? Will the taxi be allowed to come around to our section to collect us?
3) We will be arriving at CSR by DME and intend on using Garden Grocers and hopefully our items will be there. Can we leave our bags with bell services and will they deliver the bags and groceries to our room together? That way we can explore the resort on the way to our room without the hassle of our luggage.
Many thanks in advance for any help :goodvibes
I just like to be prepared before we travel :rolleyes1

When we were at CSR last May, it was the DTD bus that stopped at Blizzard Beach (could have been Typhoon Lagoon but I thought it was BB)--this year will be our first trip to AK so I don't know about that one.

We stayed at CSR last May and called for a taxi often---it did seem like it was a bit of a hassle for the taxis to come to our bldg (I think bc of the security needed to get to the bldgs (have to intercom through security) but they came. Same thing in going back to the resort.

Also, while we didn't leave our things with Bell Services (we schlepped our suitcases all the way over to Ranchos 7B without knowing we could have asked for them to be delivered) and within 3 minutes of being in the room there was a man there from Bell Services or wherever delivering our garden grocer order. Also, a rep from GG called us while in the car from MCO to tell us it had been delivered. :-)

Hope that helps!

Rachel

Just saw a post on another board stating they waited two hours for a bus to the Magic Kingdom. I am sure it is a bit exaggerated, but are the buses that bad? If we are going to have to wait for extended periods of times for buses, might consider switching resorts.

Bus service can be hit or miss at any time at any resort, though overall when we stayed at CSR (Sept. 2010) we found the service to be pretty good.

I've never heard of any WDW resort having a 2 hour wait for a Magic Kingdom bus. Off site, yes. On site, no.

Really need to find out a few things:

1) Is Coke Zero served at CSR or anywhere in WDW? Just because Coke and Diet Coke are, doesn't always mean Coke Zero is, at least in our area anyway.

2) Are the senseo/pod coffee makers in all CSR rooms now? Need to know whether to get some pods before our trip as my wife doesn't want us to waste time traveling offsite once we set foot on Disney property.

3) I'm putting together a little welcome bag for each of my 2 daughters. Nothing much, just an autograph book each and other little things. I'm trying to figure out a way to get the bags out of the car upon arrival/check-in and up to the front desk without them seeing. I also need to see if I can get some CM there to get the bags into the room before we make it to the room. Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks,
Bob

Hi there, I have stayed at CSR a few times, but the last time I stayed there was in 2008 so my memory is a little hazy about something.... We are going for 10 days in May and have decided to ship a box down of breakfast items and snack to the resort ahead of time. My question is this. Is there a place for us at PM or Rix to be able to toast our bagels in the morning?? I know all the values as well and CB and AKL have an area in their food courts that allow guest to use the toaster, but what about CSR? I hate to ship the bagel and stuff down if I won't be able to toast them in the morning.

Appreciate any feedback you can provide.

I asked a similar question to a CM on the phone last month and was told we would be able to use the toaster in the food court area or something like that.

But, considering the size of CSR, it would be a bit of a walk to El Centro from most any room location just to toast some bread and get back to the room.

For me, it might not be worth it.

I, too, would like to know about the availability of Coke Zero at CSR. Last year, it appeared that all of the soda fountains around the Polynesian/Monorail resorts had been changed from Cherry Coke to Coke Zero. (Personally I would have left Cherry Coke and deleted something else since my two favorites are Cherry Coke and Coke Zero.) Since all of the coke offerings at DW appear to be mostly uniform, I assume that this switch was also done at CSR. Can anyone confirm, please, for the Coke Zero fans!! :) Thanks!

Good to know thanks! CSR is definitely a huge resort that is for sure. We plan on making a quick stop to toast or bagels befor we get on the bus so we won't be venturing back to the room... We eat on the go for breakfast!
