We are taking the ME what resorts should I expect to stop a and what order ?

Thanks again:)

It depends. Last week during the day we were the first stop. The next night when my niece and her dad came in they were the 3rd stop. They stopped at OKW and Saratoga Springs first.

Thank you very much! I notice you answer the question a lot. Thank you AGAIN! I know some folks on the DIS complain about the 'same question' but that's what makes it nice - to be able to ask a question and get an answer! And I'm going to ask another one :upsidedow

Upon returning from the park/DTD, do they follow the same order?

And does TL share the DTD bus and BB share the AK bus? That's what I've found at other resorts but I saw elsewhere that BB might be part of the Epcot or HS bus so I just wanted to make sure!

Thanks AGAIN :)

Yes, they follow the same order when they return, becaause they are usually coming and going at the same time, if that makes sense. (Some people are returning from the parks while others are going.) :goodvibes

BB is part of the AK route. I think TL is part of the DTD route, but I'm not sure. We always drive to DTD and have never been to TL, so I haven't noticed. Now I'm curious, though!

:thumbsup2 It depends on the day. You can count on at least one other resort, but usually two besides CSR. The order varies, but it generally takes an average of 75 minutes from landing to arrival at CSR.

Just back from our stay, 4-13 March at CSR and we loved it! :) We did online check-in and requested Cabanas during online check-in. We were placed in Cabanas 8A and it was a great location. We had a short walk to El Centro, the Dig Site, and parking. Our room was also next to Bus Stop 4. We didn't use buses at all so I can't comment on the bus system. Wifi worked great. Mousekeeping was fine. Our room was clean every day when we got back except for the first day. We were coming back for early afternoon naps. After the first day when they saw were back in the afternoon, they came earlier to clean our room and it was clean before we returned. No towel animals but we consider those a bonus.

Can anyone that's been to CSR lately, tell me about the lunch buffet? We are going in Sept and plan on spending most of the morning and lunch time around the resort. We are going to be eating at the buffet numerous times. Is there enough variety at the buffet? What kind of foods do they have at Cafe Rix at lunch time? Thanks for your help.

We ate lunch at the buffet once and liked it. We ate mostly from the taco bar/Mexican area but there seemed to be a decent variety, salads, kids' foods, etc. I think we would have gotten tired of it, though, if we had eaten there more than a few times. We didn't ever check out Cafe Rix for lunch.

For heavens sake, why would anyone go through the hassle of driving to the parks. Are people that impatient that they have to be on the move. I tried both and the bus's are faster and less walking. For another, when you park and it is so bizzy the tram is always full when it drives by. Maybe $4 gas or more will change your mind? To each their own? Well one thing for sure.

You are at WDW!

I understand what you're saying and would prefer taking the bus, especially to Magic Kingdom. Actually, I would prefer staying at Contemporary and walking to Magic Kingdom, but that's not going to happen any time soon.

This was our first trip with a rental car and not using the bus. We'll probably keep doing that until the kids are older and we're not using a double stroller. It saved us some time, but mostly we decided that we did not want to deal with holding a double stroller and two kids on a standing-room only bus after park closing. We didn't want the hassle and I didn't want to get in the way of other bus users. :)

We are thinking about staying here. Thank you for all the information. This will be the first time staying at a mod. Looking forward to reading all the posts here. :thumbsup2

I'm getting SO excited ... only 2 weeks left. :cool1:

I will be getting the rollaway (cot) in our room so I don't have to sleep with my "crazy sleeper" DS11, and I'm wondering if I need to call NOW to "book" that or just ask for it when we check-in. I was thinking it would (possibly?) be in our room already if I request it now. (Unfortunately we are arriving late to CSR - like 9 pm) so it would be nice if it were already there and we didn't have to wait to have it show up.

The only problem I see is if we got there and since we requested Cabanas, if we didn't get that, and I re-asked for it, and we switched rooms, it would be in another room.
:headache:

This is why we requested Cabanas!!! I hope we get it.

Thank you, it does make sense!

We typically don't rent a car although we did our last two times because we were adding on days before/after and it made sense. And it is SO much better to drive to DTD or BB or TL for that matter! Since they have open parking and the lots aren't massive like the parks, you can park fairly close to where you are going and not deal with paying or a parking pass or checking in at a guard gate (but to be honest, I haven't driven a car to a main park in over 20 years!). Anyway, this summer we won't be renting a car and we'll have a HUGE group of people going. We will definitely be going to the water parks a lot in the summer heat! Where's the swimming emoticon??? :)

Has anyone tried the Pepper Market breakfast buffet? Is it good and worth the $? Also, does it get crowded in the early mornings?

The breakfast buffet is very good..we were there last week and were on free quick service dining so the breakfast buffet was included..so it is hard for me to say if it is worth it....I think the price was $14.99 per adult. There really is a huge variety of foods, and no it was not crowded early. They had omelets made to order, eggs, meats including absolutely wonderful crisp bacon, fruits, a variety of pastries and breads, pancakes, waffles, etc. it is set up with various stations, not a long buffet line. All of the food we ate was very good. A waitress brings your beverages..we both had juice and coffee and it was also included in the price.

any ideas on what building offer a King Preferred room ?

Made RSVP for DH and I to go for our 10th Anniversary, all it said about the room is closer to the lobby :confused3

Any help as to which building to request would be great, we've only ever stayed at POR and know which ones to request there.

Of course DH's top thing on his list is : close to parking, not far to bus, and of course not far to pool either lol.

That sounds great!!:cheer2: We are going there in August (4th year in a row @ CSR), we are praying pixiedust: that the buffet is still going on when we get there.

Preferred buildings are casitas 1, 2 and 3. They all have king rooms. Casita 3 would be closer to the bus stop, casita quiet pool and the Dig Site than casitas 1 or 2. Casita 1 is closest to El Centro.

Have the coffee makers at CSR been changed yet to the cuisinart pod/cup type makers?

I'm reading it is a pod type - not k cup, and I'm reading some other hotels now have them. On the recently posted YouTube clip from AllEars of the new princess rooms at POR, you can see it - a quick glance, but they are updated.

I'm wondering if CSR is updated yet?

They are updated. We were there 3/4 -3/11 and the new coffee makers were in the rooms. However, the coffee they supply is terrible.

We were there the same week, in Casitas 5, and had the same coffee maker we'd had the year before, not a new one. So maybe they're not entirely switched over?

Are 5 people allowed in the rooms at CSR? My DBF's son is unexpectedly living with us and we are discussing bringing him......
