Is the pool bar (Siestas?) open while the movie is playing? It would be ideal for some snacks and drinks. If not, is it acceptable to bring your own food or drinks along?
TIA :)

I don't know if the bar will be open, but it's always fine to bring your own food/drinks to the pool area. We bring our own beer (cans--not bottles) to the pool frequently. It's a lot cheaper than buying it at the bar.

If the pool bar is open, remember to bring your refillable mug for easy Coke refills.

In August, we brought snacks for 3 movie nights at POFQ. One day we bought a bucket of popcorn at the park and saved it for the movie. Perfect snack!! The movie there is shown at a courtyard rather than at the pool, but still nearly everyone brought snacks.

37 days till our first CSR encounter - I've been tapping my foot very impatiently waiting since DECEMBER when I booked our trip....

I requested Ranchos (...probably not that I needed to....:rotfl2:), because I've grown to enjoy the more quiet places at the resorts..... I'm wondering.... I read you can take any park bus from bus stop 2 to El Centro... I read people complaining about the long walk to El Centro from the Ranchos. Is it that people just don't know you can take Looks to be a great alternative to me...but haven't done it yet...

I've always felt DTD buses were the slowest of ANY other bus to arrive where ever I am on property......so I could see taking the DTD bus from stop 4/El Centro back to Stop 2/Ranchos could be time consuming waiting for the DTD bus..... any experiences with this too?

Yes, you can take any park bus to El Centro and the DTD bus back to your stop. What I would do (if I didn't want to walk both ways) is take the park bus to El Centro and then just walk back to the room because you're right in that DTD buses seem scarce.

We will be experiencing the CSR in "single digits"!!! Have done POR and POFQ and CBR in past. We've also done Poly and YC and POP. AKL is our favorite but decided to save money and try CSR since so many people love it. I'll let you know if we "fall in love" with CSR, too. I expect to! :goodvibes

Any time at WDW is a good time! :)

Our first CSR vacation is so soon. It is our anniversary trip without kids. I am so excited to see all the beauty talked about in this thread! We are hoping for some awesome weather to just sit by the pool and relax!!!

Great thank you :thumbsup2

I'm at CSR now. We received some major pixie dust at check-in and were given a free upgrade to club level. The room is great, corner room, water view. The club lounge is pretty awesome :goodvibes. The grounds look beautiful even in the rain. It's our 3rd stay here and this place gets better every time. If I can help anyone with any questions let me know, we'll be here 12 of the next 13 nights :)

Wow, club level. That's great, I thought club level was only for convention guests. I don't mean to sound ignorant but do you get breakfast, hordorves (?) throughout the day? Enjoy!

Please take pictures! Is there a convention going on, and are you a part of it? I haven't ever heard of a non-convention guest having club services.

Thanks everyone! We booked a standard room and I requested Cabanas at booking and using online check-in. We are not convention guests and based on the other people we've seen in the lounge, I'm fairly certain that they aren't either. We had access to the club lounge all day Fri and Sat but today it was closed between 11am and 5pm. For breakfast they've had cereal, yogurt, assorted pastries, bagels, fresh fruit (whole fruit and strawberries, melons, and pineapple), and water/juice/coffee (including half size water bottles to go). During the day I've seen cheese, crackers, chips, salsa, hummus, and cookies. I've never stayed club level before but my friend says the offerings are not as extensive as at Poly (no hot items). At night they have wine and beer available by request. I will try to take pictures tonight and tomorrow morning to post for you all. I'm not sure if this is some kind of trial run or not, I was not there when my group checked in but if I remember I will ask. It has certainly been a surprise and a nice perk!

Kateydid, that's fantastic! Amazing pixie dust, sounds almost like some sort of trial. Wonder if they will start offering it at CSR??

I'm SO excited! Just booked a 3 night getaway for my husband and I for November! We are celebrating 21 years together and last year was the first time we went away for even a night, alone. It's contagious, I guess, b/c this year we're going bigger and longer! CSR, here we come!!! :woohoo:

Oh boy I sure hope it's a trial run because we'll be there next Friday and would love to volunteer as guinea pigs in this case! We requested the same thing - standard room in Cabanas - but I'm sure we'll enjoy the resort even if we're stuck in the Ranchos wasteland.;)

That's fantastic!! Enjoy!! Where is the club service room located?

That would be me...... :coffee:

I enjoyed the cappucino and latte I got from the coffee window, which was just beyond where you go in to be seated at the Pepper Market. Not sure what coffee they have in Cafe' Rix.

Thanks for the feedback!

Only 17 more days until we check into CSR!! Can't wait!!! For those of you who have recently been there and have usec Magical Express. What stop was CSR coming from the airport to the resort?

Wow what an awesome deal to get CL, which I never knew existed at CSR. We check in next month for our anniversary trip, and can't wait!
